RUDEST STAFF at Concord store Today I went to Staples at north lake to buy a computer. The price was 799.00 and another on sale 699.00 and they did not have in stock. The NICE sales rep checked Concord and they had it, I drove there it as 499.00 at that store so I asked the young associate for help. She said there was no tech there to help. I told her I didn't need a tech I was there to buy it. She said she'll have someone come to help. Lady comes over I tell here I'm interested in this computer and she interrupted said she is looking for you and looking in the damaged section. I asked how did she know what I wanted I didn't even show her what I wanted and she was rude. Rep said she was not rude. I asked why would she be looking in the damaged when I'm here to buy this computer new. This rep got an attitude explaining why the other rep is looking in the damaged or new to see if one was available. I don't want a damaged computer or returned. This rep attitude was worse, her continued interpretation and I got loud to get her to hear we were there to buy THIS computer. She said I was being unreasonable..really the rep was rude. I asked for the manager she said that was her. This MANAGER was so rude and arguing, she was not going to sale a computer. Then the male associate ask us to leave. We went to Huntersville and bought it. Apparently the manager thought I was the customer the young rude sales rep was helping (she was on the headset with) and WAS NOT but I sure got interrupted and called unreasonable when I just wanted to buy it a computer. I will never buy anything there again. I will call the boss of this store. Pricers are DIFFERENT at each store we were told why by manager in...
Read moreToday my friend and I visited our local Staples because I needed notecards. To preface, we were carrying backpacks with us, like any day because we work remotely and have our laptops, iPads, and a very expensive photography camera with us. We've gone into this store many times before with our backpacks and had no issues. This time, we walked in and started to look for what we needed and as we were looking around Laura, the store manager, walked up and told us that it was the store policy that we had to leave our personal belongings at the front of the store or we were going to be asked to leave. I am quite used to this as I am tattooed, have quite a bit of piercings, and have a darker skin tone (I was also wearing a sweatshirt with my hood up since it was raining). My friend immediately asked to see where the policy was written because this has never been an issue for us before. Laura then told her that it wasn't written down anywhere and that she would have to call corporate to confirm that it was the policy. To add, as my friend was talking to Laura several people with backpacks and large purses/shopping bags entered the store with no issue. When we got home my friend did, in fact, call corporate and they informed us that that has never been a policy. Overall, we just felt like we were discriminated against by the store manager because of our appearance and it's not right to do that to someone. Ever. So, I hope when you visit this location Laura doesn't discriminate against you...
Read moreI was in the store on 8/3/23 at 6:30 pm - 6:54 pm. Lora (supervisor/manager on duty) was rude and dismissive, not just with me but another customer before me. She told a customer that they don't print on perforated tickets (which clearly is untrue if you set the printer and computer settings correctly to print), as I witnessed her argue the lady down about it. Then Lora asked an associate in the print center do we print and the lady (the associate) said yes. So that's #1.. #2, Lora then spent 11 minutes correcting her file and placing order, but why is a file being corrected on the fly? Should be print ready especially if it takes you that amount of time to fix.... #3, I only needed one color print, single sided on cardstock. I was denied by Lora and the other associate because they said they were backed up because another associate didn't show up to work. So the issue is, Lora spent over 10 minutes to fix a file but didn't want to do a print order that takes 2 minutes max??? Make it make sense Staples in Concord. Just the overall experience at this location was awful not with just me but the customer before how she was talked to by Lora, and then gave her false information regarding the printing process. I will contact corporate in the morning because the print center is unacceptable starting with Lora. This Concord location has to do better, it is definitely day and night between this location and the location in...
