It was our first time visiting. It was late afternoon on a Saturday and it wasn’t busy so we were sat immediately. The decor and ambience set the tone for the authenticity of the meal to come. The music wasn’t too loud or distracting. The colorful tapestries and decorations were great for setting the stage. Our server suggested an appetizer: the Gobi Manchurian which did not disappoint. It was flavorful and had just enough spice (we got to pick our spice level). Portion was great for sharing among 2-4 people. We had looked at the menu ahead and had decided to get almost all of the naan just to try them, knowing we would be taking most of them and our dinner home. We told our server of our plans she pointed out four she would recommend so we agreed. We had the Garlic, the Keema, the Cheese and the Chilli. All were so flavorful and delicious. The Chilli definitely packed a punch so be wary if you don’t like spicy but it was so so good. For our meals she had suggested a chicken dish but I told the server I wanted something I don’t typically make for myself at home like lamb. So she recommended the Lamb Roganjosh. My husband ordered the Goat Curry. We were able to pick our spice level on those as well. I tasted both mine and my husband’s and they were flavorful, tender, and had just the right amount of spice to them. We were so full of naan we couldn’t finish our meals. Without asking, our server brought boxes and foil to wrap our leftovers. But had we not ordered so much naan I still don’t think we would have finished our meals. Portions were solid and they even asked if we wanted more rice to go with our meal. Our water glasses were never empty, even after more patrons came in, and all staff were attentive and friendly. My husband enjoyed the Indian lager they had in bottles (Rupee). We ordered Gulab Jamun, to go, for dessert and it was so good!! Curry Leaf will definitely be added to our list of favorite...
Read moreWell, well, well . . . excellent Indian cuisine FINALLY has found its way to little ol' Concord, NH!! :) YAY!!
RUN, don't walk, to have a meal at this recently, newly opened under new management/ownership, Indian restaurant that's family owned (bonus)!
We just ate here last week with our daughter and were super impressed with EVERYTHING we ordered, which was a variety of different things hoping to get a good impression of the strengths this place had to offer. WOW, were we surprised at how good everything was -- and what an upscale, clean, place it was with caring attentive and professional staff who were obviously family members, taking good care of us every step of the way.
Previously we were driving 45 minutes to Derry which was the nearest good Indian restaurant but my husband thought the chicken Tika Masala was actually better than the other restaurant's. He doesn't usually have much opinion either way, so it's saying something that he had a strong opinion in this case.
We noticed the clientele inside the restaurant included native Indian families as well as non-Indian families, like us, which is ALWAYS a sign that the food is authentic and delicious! I'm excited to write this review since others in search of a fabulous night out enjoying delicious Indian cuisine must be out there just waiting to realize this place is now open in...
Read moreI wanted to share a wonderful experience that I had with Curry Leaf today. My husband and I first tried Curry Leaf about two months ago. We were impressed by the service, lovely atmosphere, and delicious food. We’ve come back for carry out as well as dine in. We are always greeted with a warm smile and the service is speedy. I feel like the staff remember us and go out of their way to make sure we have a nice experience. This evening, my husband and I came to Curry Leaf for a birthday dinner for my husband. Just after we were seated, I asked one of the staff members if there was a small cake that could be brought out after dinner. The staff member, with a warm smile said, ‘’We will bring out a birthday cake after your meal.’’ After a delicious dinner of Tikka Masala Lamb (very soft lamb) and Butter Chicken with lamb Naan and mango lassi, a beautiful ice cream CAKE came out. When I asked for a birthday cake, I meant like a slice of cake or a small dessert. Little did we expect an entire small ice cream cake. The staff played happy birthday on the TVs and came to our table and said, ‘’Happy birthday!’’ multiple times. We were blown away by the service and kindness. Thank you, Curry Leaf, for your dedication and exceptional...
