Update 10-2019 Please fix your issue in the app regarding TIPS! It never seems like the tip is actually processed and I ordered a 2nd time just to add a tip for my driver because I didn’t have cash, used to deliver food and would NEVER think of not tipping. Unfortunately I was charged the delivery charge a second time as well and even called to see if they could just combine the orders but no go! Oh well at least my driver got a tip!
Okay bear with me this is a long one.. we used to order Domino's pizza all the time until they changed thier pizza recipe awhile back.
We had ordered one garden salad and one ceasar and both of them had EXTREMELY bitter lettuce... it was legitimatly the most bitter lettuce I have ever had in my life I couldn't even finish it because I didn't want to chance another bite would lead to another experience like that again... It was truly bad!
Aside from the terrible taste I had from the lettuce that wasn't the only issue. You can see from the my pic after the first four bites there was basically no salad dressing left and nobody wants to eat a bowl of lettuce - nevermind one they just paid for that was bitter as hell.
Every once in awhile we will also order Dominos pasta and or sandwiches and have found they are fairly good since pizza is a no go for 3 out of 4 members of our family.
Also.... the app SUX!!! If you are trying to use it on your phone and need to leave the screen to receive a call... Get your card info... Look up coupon code or the 5000 other things we use our phones for these days your ENTIRE ORDER DISAPPEARS!!!! Generally it will stay in checkout in other apps but this one there is no way to save it... If you change screens its gone!
I placed everyone's orders then checked for online codes as usual but unfortunately I didn't find any for anything except pizza (which as I explained earlier we do, not like). So I go to my trusty RetailMeNot app which has saved me TONS over the years and see an option to order a gift card at a discount - I orderd a $30 card to save roughly 10% which is not a lot but at least it's enabling me to save something.... you would think that Dominos could save people all this trouble by offering a coupon code for a few dollars off - regardless of what you order but unfortunately that's not an option.
So I ordered the gift card and received it via electronic delivery in my email (See pics) along with the confirmation that everything was processed.
Then return to the app to use it and guess what? My entire order was gone... AGAIN!
So, once again I reordered Everything ... + opened up a 2nd app for 2 seconds to get the gift card info and guess what ....IT ALL DISAPPEARED YET AGAIN!!!!
At this point I am more than a bit frustrated. I had just input our orders for the 3rd time and then when I entered the $30.00 Gift card I just purchased it said there was a 0 balance.
So I double checked the numbers and everything was correct & once again I re-entered -ALL OF OUR ORDERS .... then re-entered the gift card info and once again nothing happened. Plus ....One more thing...the piece of the pie rewards that dominos offers is a joke.... I spent $58 and got 10 points. You need 60 points to earn a "free" pizza but the catch is your points expire in 6 months so in order to ever earn the pizza you basically have to spend $300 in 6 months or $50 a month with no lapse. Read moreA little dismayed with today's experience as I drove up to the pickup window and failed to be noticed. I sat there for a couple minutes assuming I would eventually be seen. I could see movement inside but I couldn't see any faces so I'm sure they probably couldn't see me either. I hesitated but eventually gave my horn a little beep. Still no one saw me. After another minute, I got partially out of my car and gave a knock on the window. I thought for sure this would get their attention. I got back in my car and waited. Still nothing so I waved my arms to see if the movement would get some attention. Still nothing. At this point, I'm fairly annoyed. It's 3:30 in the afternoon which is not a busy time for a restaurant. I have more than a decade's experience in them. And for someone to not be checking the drive-up window when they have orders for it and there's even one of those mirrors inside so that they can see this area from blind spots in the kitchen. When I noticed this and I could see them talking with each other and not noticing me waving my arms knocking on the window and beeping my horn I was a little perturbed when I drove off and around to go inside. I understand people make mistakes, and so I went in and politely told the person that greeted me what had happened. He brushed it off with a pretty insincere sorry and just asked me my name and run me up. He didn't address it and it didn't show any real concerned at all. If he has at least looked me in my eyes and given a sincere apology, I would have at least felt heard. Now I understand that they are young workers and their learning, and don't get me wrong, no one was rude, but I wouldn't call it good customer service either. Read moreThe pizza hand-tossed at Dominos is not the best pizza you can get around here. It's soggy. Although, Dominos now offers New-York Style pizza, and this was a BIG game changer for me. A little more pricey, but so worth it ! A regular size (6 - piece) feeds me plus left overs.🙂🫠 Looking for something else, other than pizza? I have had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich once or twice and it hits the spot! Comes with blue cheese dressing and hot sauce. I DO NOT RECOMMEND the Steak and Cheese (Philly cheese-steak) Sandwich, it's disappointing.
From a service stand-point, the employees work as fast as possible and are polite and courteous of the food you order and will let you know about your order when you first walk in to pick it up (how long it will take to finish cooking; preparing). I noticed that employees are very focused from the get go and there is NOT a lot of chatter amongst one another. Hard workers 😁 Delivery service is always the same experience when I use DoorDash.
