Go here fairly often. The food is usually good and they give very generous portions but if you are seated near the bar or the kitchen you can't even hear the person across the table. The staff is usually very good, however, last weekend we had a waiter come and take our drink orders and completely disappeared. Another waitress came over after a very long wait for just drinks and brought them and took our appetizer order. After a 20 minute wait I signaled another waitress and told her how long we'd been waiting just for the appetizer and she seemed confused. Finally, she brought the appetizer and took our order. After another long wait and signaling ANOTHER staff person and letting her know how long we'd been waiting, our food was brought out, which was by then cold. No one ever came back to refill the chips and salsa at all or to refill our drinks. The food was not up to the standards it usually is. I was so surprised. I don't usually leave food on my plate but it was just so over done and cold it was not enjoyable. I have a back problem and the ridiculous time we had to sit and wait was aggravating it. We finally had to signal the waitress for our check. What a long, unenjoyable, lunch. I'm not sure I want to go back. This all was just too much. We didn't even have any idea who to tip, there were so many different staff who waited on us. I usually like this place but this was...
Read moreTraveled to Concord to have lunch with my sister. She has eaten here prior and recommended it . My sister had the lunch Chimichanga , it comes soft or fried, she asked for fried, it came soft. I ordered the Chori Pollo asked that they hold the cheese, the held the cheese. it was served withground beef on top of my chicken that was very greasy and spicy that was not listed on the menu, if I had know i wouldn't have ordered this. I scraped the pile off greasy beef off the chicken which soaked through 2 napkins. I asked to see the server, he shrugged his shoulders and said you asked for no cheese. I had to ask him to to wipe the table which was now covered with the greasy oil that leaked from the pile of napkins so it would not drip onto my clothes. My other half ordered Carne Asada which was fine except the pico come in a mini fried flour bowl , they didn't drain the pico befor placing in the bowl so when you picked it up the bottom full off. Last the beans listed on the menu are refried beans the menu just says beans. Overall opinion of this place was barely a 3 , the server was a zero as had no customer service skills at all( he could have learned alot for his co-workers if he took the time). Vaule for the money was a 3 ( 3 people after tip was about $25 a person, with 2 ordering from the lunch menu, one person only had water to drink the other 2 had a non...
Read moreThe more you tip them the better the service. I'd been a regular for a few years despite the spotty service in the bar. Some days you'd get served right away but mostly you're waiting 10-15 minutes between contact with a server. Whenever I voiced this complaint, I was made to feel wrong. Food is spotty depending on the "chef". If you like super salty then this place is for you. I got sick a couple times from their food which really surprised me because all the meat is so cooked to death. Sports bar? Nope, tvs are small and always on disinteresting channels. The bathrooms are ridiculously hot and stinky. There is always one of two sinks that are out of order. Management doesn't seem to care much more than profits since they charge their employees to buy their own shirts as mandatory work wear. Speaking of management, pride cometh before the fall. If anyone remembers City Side and how busy they were all the time? They started treating people badly. They did what they wanted to do instead of taking care of the customers. El Rodeo is the same thing now. Proud and arrogant. There is so much underbelly stuff going on if you pay attention but I'm done. I WILL NEVER GO BACK nor am I...
