The Concord, New Hampshire location desperately needs to learn about customer service. I went with 2 friends to have an early dinner yesterday between 4 and 4:30 in the afternoon. We sat in the bar, which had about 8 to 10 people who were clearly already eating and drinking. The bartender came over to our table to take our drink order, and we asked for a pitcher of beer... Stella Artois specifically. She came back a couple of minutes later with 3 frosty cold glasses and said the keg was being changed, but she'd be bringing the pitcher shortly. Unfortunately, about 10 minutes passed and our glasses were still empty and no longer frosty cold, so I asked what was taking so long. Apparently, that was too much for the bartender and waitress who suggested I lose my attitude, so I said to my friends, I think we should leave, and we did. What I can't understand, is why didn't the bartender come back to our table and say it was going to take a little longer than she thought for the keg to be changed and offer us another brand of beer. Even better, she could have said I'll take your food order and by then, the keg will be changed. She could have communicated with us rather than just letting us sit there with empty glasses, but no effort was made to inform us or apologize for the delay, which was clearly not due to this restaurant being busy. The dining room was basically empty and the bar wasn't even half full, so I don't understand why were inconvenienced. Nevertheless, I blame management for not properly training the staff in communication and customer service... no excuse is acceptable. Frankly, I'll NEVER go back to the Concord location again, and I would say it's no mystery why this restaurant chain is closing locations all across...
Read moreParty of four went in tonight, we had a 30 minute wait for a table, little did we know that would be the least of our worries. We ordered a cheesy bread appetizer, when it came out the center half was not fully cooked. The manager came over and explained they were having trouble getting the cook time and recipe right. After getting the inedible, doughy mess comp'd we waited nearly an hour for our entrees to make their way to the table. During this time several of our party had to inquire about delay on drinks. They were apparently missing an ingredient but never conveyed to the group. Finally about an hour after being seated our 4 pasta dishes finally arrived. Delighted to finally eat, something, anything, we dug in. To much disappointment, the food was bland, and there seemed to be changes to the sauce. All in all the experience was quite a let down. The positive of it all, two of waitstaff were quite apologetic, and offered to do all they could to correct the problems. This is a favorite spot of ours, but it may be a while before we...
Read moreQuiet and there's a parking lot so no issues with parking. We had a party of 8, and for sat but the table was covered with crumbs which the host didn't even notice until we pointed it out. We ordered the drinks and I had asked for a hot tea but the mug it came out in was unclean.
We put in our food orders, I ordered a side Caesar salad and a 10" Cauliflower Crust Taco Pizza. We also ordered the Fried Ravioli. Half of the table's appetizers came out early while the others came out with the entrees. The Caesar salad was standard but not that many croutons. I didn't really enjoy the Fried Ravioli. It seemed a tad over fried and the cheese stuffed in it didn't seem fresh. The pizza was pretty good so I definitely recommend the taco pizza and the Cauliflower Crust as well. I did order a ginger Ale later through lunch and the cup was also dirty.
Service was alright. Overall, food was okay but not...
