Take out has been poorly served and made twice now. I was given my dish that should have remained in a freezer 10 minutes before my main course to go was ready. I had to ask one of the waiters to place it in a freezer. The energetic undertone was that of prejudice. I dined in and recieved good service my first go around. My first takeout was handle with much care and respect. The last two times I order take out have been handled poorly. The fried ice cream has become one scoop of vanilla ice cream, rolled in frosted flakes and caramel sauce when it use to be throughout the ice cream and at least two scoops, now it doesnt fill half the container they serve it out of. They struck out with me and I wont be patronizing them in the future because of the energy I feel being served their now and the quality of the dishes I buy. I didnt even mention how my steak nachos was mostly refried beans, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo and the added onions and cliantro I asked for, very minimal amount of steak. One of the worst nacho servings I have ever had, dont get me wrong it didnt taste bad, it just barely had any meat, which was a first in my book. I dont think they appreciate all who patronize their business so I'm going to go elsewhere from now on. I recommend if you are of the culture, but if you arent considered apart of the culture, or Karen type, dine at your own risk. Had to say it. I do know discrimination, and its obvious at this point to me I'm a recipient of it coming from this restaurant. Now ask yourself one question before you make a snap judgement on this review.. Why would a person write all of this to lie on a company or restaurant? What do they have to gain? I can tell you I have nothing to gain, I'm just fed up with being poorly served and seemingly jipped out of my hard earned money, so this review and my decision to not go back is my recompense. You do your own due diligence. Not every one will have the same...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusting I took my mom out to eat Got into a little disagreement with a server wrote on the tip to have a better attitude because she was extremely rude. I get an alert from my bank that extra money has been taken out. I go down there and talk to him about it because The total conveniently was the same amount, as if I added A 20% tip. The owner of the company is actually the servers brother he denied it, kept asking if I wanted my 20$ back to make me happy didn’t believe that money was taken so I called my bank in front of him He told me he wouldn’t listen to my Bank statement on the phone unless it was a transaction on my phone. He knew that at the end of the night he could change the total. back to what it was so he wouldn’t get in trouble. He ended up giving me $20, changed the total back to what it was and was blowing up my mom harassing her to bring back $20. My cousin had did a yelp review and he contacted yelp HR to take it down because it “wasn’t true” covered his tracks and is sayin there is no evidence. The worst place I’ve ever been to!!!!!! I have a picture of the receipt that clearly shows I wrote that and she added a 20% tip at the end 87.25 and after I threatened they fixed it and is making me seem like the one that’s trying to get over. When I went back into the store, my comment I made on the tip was scratched out, so clearly it...

We were most recently at La Tapatia for a PaintNite event, which was a night of painting led by an experience instructor. Here it was in a private room outside of the restaurant's main dining area. I'd previously attended a private surprise birthday party held in this same room, but have also eaten in the restaurant once.
PaintNite is super fun and the instructed painting sessions take place at a variety of restaurants. I can't wait to attend another one! La Tapatia provided servers to take drink and food orders for our room of amateur painters. Most people were only ordering drinks, but a few people wanted food and/or chips and salsa. I only wanted chips and salsa, but thought I had to order food to get some, so I settled on a side order of French Fries. We ordered a couple of drinks which came out pretty quickly (the bar was on-point all night), but the fries still hadn't arrived by our class' first break, so I asked one of the servers to check on my order. Shortly after, a plate of cold fries were delivered. Okay, so not "cold", but not warmer than room temperature, and not hot! Soft, soggy, room temperature fries ($4).
Chips and salsa were tasty though - and the event was a lot of fun - we'd definitely return if they back to this location. (We found a great deal for PaintNite...
