The WORST!! DO NOT BOOK with HAMPTON INN CONCORD!! The MANAGER ( short black hair, brown skin, & maybe Hispanic background) is a manager from HELL!! I was out with family while my girls & 18 yo niece stayed back at the hotel cause they were exhausted from the night before due to my niece's graduation celebration. Arriving 4-5 in the morning the battery on the door was flashing red & orange. My keys did not work so I reported the issue to the front desk and informed them that the door is locked. Asian guy went up there and couldn't open the door with his master key. He said he was going to try to get a hold of the manager. So basically I was locked out of my room for an hr! As I waited for the manager to arrive , she walked out of the hotel room & to the FD, I realized she's the same person I've seen many times NEVER ONCE GREETED US nor made us feel WELCOMED! Asian guy had explained to her the situation. The 1st thing that came out her mouth was " this is ridiculous! It's 6 in the morning and you can't get the door to open. We would have to call the police or the fire department to pry the door open & you would have to pay for it! I don't know what you want us to do , for all I know , you must've left little kids in there!" I went off on her the moment she mentioned my kids because 1st of all! That's NONE OF HER BUSINESS! 2nd of all, SHE WAS DISRESPECTFUL, NOT PERSONABLE nor PROFESSIONAL!! She then told me to " GET THE FK OUT!" My advice to anybody higher up for this specific location, IF YOU HIRE ANYONE TO WORK THE FD ESP A MANAGER, MAKE SURE THEY HAVE REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS & ACUTALLY LOOK HAPPY TO DO THEIR JOB! If the Manager comes across my review, you know who YOU are!! You failed in every aspect of doing your job! FIND A NEW ONE! It's clear you have some deep inner issues you're dealing with. If I could give this hotel zero stars, I would. I'm a Hilton employee myself, that does NOT give you the right to mistreat us just because we were paying...
Read moreThe hotel itself is very nice and recently built. The rooms, furnishings and common areas are well done. The mattresses, pillows and chairs are all comfortable. Breakfast is good, typical Hampton Inn buffet fare. My only complaint with the amenities is the shower-head. It is low flow and the handle is on the opposite side of the wall from the head. This makes for a miserable shower experience with very little water that takes a long time to adjust after changing the handle position, resulting in too hot or too cold water most of the time. The location is not the best - the hotel is right off a freeway exit, there are 3 busy roads around it and the entrance is off a busy one-way street with a 5 way intersection. It can be noisy when there is a lot of traffic and a bit challenging to get in/out of. I'd give 4 stars, but I received a surprise $10 daily parking fee on my bill. I checked in using digitial check-in and there was no indication that there is a daily parking fee, I was just automatically billed for it. There is a sign posted in the parking lot that says the lot is Paid Parking for Hampton Inn guests, so there is notice. However, parking is not access controlled and is not the type of property that I expect to pay daily parking for so I didn't think the sign actually meant that I would be charged $10...
