On Friday, May 2, around 1 p.m., I went to enter your Park n' Shop store with a long list of items to cook a meal for friends on my 65th, the following Monday. I use a backpack to carry items that I've purchased, medications that I need to have with me at all times, plastic produce bags that I reuse, and a cloth shopping bag. I take public transportation and walk. A "security " man told me that I couldn't enter the store with my backpack. I noticed quite a few women with purses, some large. I pointed it out to him and was told. "Purse us for ladies." What? That's not right. I saw where the bags were kept, on a shelf unit, unlocked, by an open front door. That's not secure. In hindsight, I should have discussed this with the manager in charge. Instead, I shopped at 99 Ranch, Grocery Outlet, and Safeway. It took me three times as long. I spent over $100 in produce and other food items. Not only did you lose the sale, but you've lost a customer who loves your store. I understand the point of disallowing bags, but be. consistent. Any bag is large enough to use for theft. I used to work for a national retailer. It's surprising. I keep mine on my back so it doesn't get nicked. Until you retool your bag storage area with locked, caged, or behind a counter and issue ID tickets, you're going to be stolen from. Additionally, I won't shop there and advise other chefs, home cooks, and friends to also not spend their money with your stores. Bien suarte.

Read moreI was surprised that this grocery store did not have Waterloo-type drinks that a failed to find in 3 convenience stores, but I did buy a good amount of plain water bottles. I was upset when a cashier closed her line just as I was walking in with all those water bottles in my 2 hands. Another flagged me over a few lines when I was willing to wait in the one next door. After the water bottles purchase, I saw some beautiful candles for the 50th birthday of someone close to me. I don’t know why I did that impulse after a bad experience: certainly not on purpose for the authority to write this negative review. I wish I had a five-star experience which may have been possible had the first cashier not closed...
Read moreTamales were very good, thats why they get 2 stars. Employees need to learn how to read and recognize what they serve. I asked for salsa tatemada...saw them serving me from the tray that said HABANERO SALSA , I stopped the person and told him he was giving me the wrong one , and he got upset and said we dont make Habanero sauce....BUT CLEARLY THE SIGN said HABANERO SAUCE , thank goodnes he served me 1/2 lb of sauce instead of 1lb that I asked for(yes I still purchased it trusting in him thinking the tag must of have been a mistake) So just as a BIG ADVICE , when you go there make sure you get what you ask for..they definitely don't have an idea of what they are selling, and will get upset if you...
