mochinut concord — Restaurant in Concord

I’m not sure if its because it’s their soft opening or some other issue but it was a bit of a struggle to get snacks. They were out of donuts when we were ordering so my friend and I decided to get boba. We started ordering on the tablets but were then informed that they were out of tapioca pearls so I asked my friend if she wanted to get something somewhere else but then someone came out of the back and said that the pearls were ready. We placed our orders and waited. A few minutes later my number was called because they had run out of the drink that I ordered and wanted to know what I wanted instead so I told them and then continued to wait. Shortly after that, my number was called and I ended up receiving the drink I initially ordered. The teas had a lot of ice but good flavor and they weren’t too sweet. The cups are cute though the opening isn’t really big enough...

I was excited to go since it was their soft opening the weekend I was here. The mocho donuts imo have been the better mocho donuts I’ve had. Fluffy and chewy. I’d go back just for the donuts. The tiger boba was good not too sweet. I didn’t change the sweetness and left it as is to see just how sweet but it wasn’t overpowering. The hotdogs were great. Good texture not greasy and the cheese pull was awesome. No tables, just a bench that ran the whole side of the building. Waited about 10 minutes for the hotdogs, but there is a sign that’s says about a 15 minute wait. I guess I showed up at the right time. Not too busy, only about a few people in front of us. Will go back again, but maybe after the grand opening and the buzz...

If you want to be able to control the sweetness or the type of milk of your Boba drink this is not the place for you.

They only have one level of sweetness and no milk options which probably also means that all the drink mixes are premixed as opposed to made onsite or batched more so than other boba places.

We were here later in the afternoon so the donut choices were not that great.

The rice dogs are more novel.

You can tell that it's been open a bit and they haven't touched it up or done a real through cleaning in a while.
