I arrived at the concord veranda location on 4:55AM when the store opened at 5AM both girls working saw me walk up, saw me outside waiting. I was not expecting to be let in until 5 I had no issues with that. But then 5 came around and the doors were still locked. I waited another 5 mins the girls inside just standing there chatting avoiding eye contact with me. Then at almost 5:10AM I finally knocked on the door because it was FREEZING outside and I had to get back to work. They finally looked over and just stared at me. So I motioned to my wrist as though it was a watch and held up five fingers trying to let them know hey it’s 5AM. Neither of them moved, one of the girls looked at her phone first, and then took her time coming over, and opening the door. Then said, oh sorry my alarm didn’t go off. I proceeded to order a small white mocha add peppermint which I paid extra for as well as oat milk and there was no peppermint syrup added. Both girls were also very rude while I was ordering/grabbing my drinks which I figured was due to me knocking on the door etc but seriously you’re at work. Maybe spend less time on your phones and chatting to one another especially when your stores policy is to have your doors unlocked 5 mins prior to opening. I’ve had so many issues with this store (give me the wrong food items, drinks tasting watered down, rude service and this was...
Read moreI've been coming to this Peet's in Concord for the last 2 years. I first discovered this location (not Peet's, i've been a Peenik for 30 years!) during the height of the pandemic and was thrilled to be able to sit outside especially as I was desperate to find a place to study on the weekends. Not only do they have a great outside area, the folks inside are hands down THE BEST. And I know a thing or two about Peet's. This place has been my go-to every weekend and I can study and get some fresh air, while drinking a delicious Americano. And yeah, I schlep all the way from Berkeley - this place and staff are THAT GOOD. Thanks folks for your great style, barista magic and a consistently welcoming friendliness to everyone who walks in the door. I appreciate every...
Read moreI've bought Peet's coffee in the super market to brew at home and loved it. This is the first time I'd gone to a Peet's location and ordered a cup of coffee. I got some sort of caramel latte and my friend got some other type of latte. We both agreed that the coffee was nothing special and even a bit more bitter than expected. The service was also uninspiring. While not rude, the young lady that served us seemed particularly disinterested in being there.
I was excited for this location to open and willing to let them pull some of my business from Starbucks. So far, no good. I'll probably try again and see if I just went on an off day.
The restaurant itself looked very nice and had plenty of...
