Our office is fortunate enough to have bosses that celebrate the birthdays of our team with monthly lunches. It's so terrific when I plan/organize these staff lunches and everything just flows smoothly with no hiccups! Today was one of those days. A 21-order pick-up from The Mediterranean! Thanks to the hard-working operation of their employees, all 21 combo and wrap meals were perfect! Everything was correct and everyone enjoyed the delicious food.
Today, I ordered the combo meal with falafel (instead of an animal protein), and bakdonsieh and foul medammas as my sides. Delicious! I heard from our lamb eaters the meat was slightly spicy (for their extremely delicate palates), and everyone who ordered chicken seemed happy. We finished lunch with their perfectly made baklava (it's not too sweet!)
It's really hard to pull off that many lunches without forgetting one, maybe mixing up the sides, leaving something out, etc. It literally happens to us all the time, which is a real bummer because by the time we realize it, there's not much we can do about it. So today's 100% perfect lunch by Sam and the others at LaMed was the best scenario possible, and almost nobody in our office had eaten there before, so now everyone has a new place they...
Read moreI like the baba ganuj hommus, and they have a salad with cucumber and tomatoes, in tahini sauce. It's really good with falafal balls, which are made hot and fresh on site. They also serve meat and kabobs, but I've never ordered any. Other people have gone here to eat while I ate my veggie combo there, and they seemed to like it, but I'm trying to keep a vegetarian diet if possible. This place has definitely been a go-to for me about once weekly, or up to 2-3 times a week in the summer.
The salads and veggie combo are A+ quality and tasty, and you can also ask for tahini sauce on the side (sesame seed puree) or hot sauce (made with paprika spice). Both sauces are very good and meant to compliment the falafals. They also serve some sweets like baklava, and you can order a Turkish coffee. Cold drinks are in the fridge, where you'll also find that drinkable European-stype yogurt that's a bit salty...
Read moreGreat food. I usually order a gyro wrap with lamb meat occasionally I will switch the wrap to lavish and both taste really good, the meat taste fresh and also grilled/cooked to perfection where other places will either have the meat charred or undercooked. The price of food is not expensive compared to the other fake Mediterranean place across Concord that will charge you $22 for a wrap with no meat and fries. The atmosphere of this restaurant is chill and relaxed the temp seems to be perfect and the place is always top notch clean. The owner of this place is very nice and respectful towards me I give him lots of props for doing a great job, his son that works sometimes in the late afternoons is also very nice and respectful. I'm always here once or twice a week and obviously there's a...
