Second time there. No one at the front counter. Sat down. When the counter attendant did show up, he would not come to my table. A bit of a stand off, finally I relented and walked up to the counter. Very limited menu. Hipper than thou attitude. A roast sandwich was delivered, however, it appears that they delivered the next tables order to me. The other table had two ladies, one who was half way finished with her sandwich, the other eyeing my sandwich which was obviously hers. The whole time the hip dude was oblivious. Offered up my sandwich, declined. Very few people there, but seemed challenged to get the hot beverage out with the food or before god forbid, before. Chairs by the window were cool, but uncomfortable. Wait staff clearly unconcerned. The best part was the few greens that came with my sandwich. I live two blocks away, not sure I will go back. Too bad, I was hoping for a nice place to have lunch in the future. Not sure they will be around for that. Recommendation: your patrons come first. Leave your attitude at home. Expand your menu, be attentive and put the client...
Read moreMy daughter is obsessed with Boba tea so I was excited to find a place closer to home. As soon as I mentioned waffles, the barista made it clear that they were closing in half an hour, making my daughter feel completely unwelcome. She wanted to leave. I asked if we could get it to go and the barista went to see if the kitchen was still open. I mean, if the kitchen closes earlier than the shop, maybe have a sign? Make it clear somewhere? Just tell us.
Turns out the kitchen was open. The man who brought us our waffles was very pleasant. He didn’t seem to have any issue serving us 1/2 hr prior to closing.
The boba teas were good though my daughter says she’s had better boba elsewhere that weren’t so squishy. Tasted fine to me. The waffles were fantastic. Made the car smell wonderful.
All in all, it was good. We might return. Probably would’ve given it 5 stars if the clerk behind the counter was a little nicer and less concerned with closing the doors. We had our food and were out of there well before the official...
Read moreVisited the table at the Rochester Farmers Market on Tuesday inside the ice arena with my sister and our children. Ordered 4 lemonades total and unfortunately it was the worst lemonade we have ever tasted. It was like biting the inside of a lemon. I like tart, but these were just downright sour. There was no consistency when making the lemonade, nothing was measured, some cups were sweeter than others, some had more water, others had much more of the lemon. My cup had tons of seeds, grit and pulp. It was very hot in the arena and we were really looking forward to a nice cup of refreshing lemonade, unfortunately we didn’t get anywhere close to that.
I also want to mention that the cooler that held the milk/dairy items was left wide open in a very warm place, as someone who works in the food industry this was a red flag and the cooler should have been kept closed to keep those products at the appropriate temperature. I do hope to give the Teatotaller...
