This is a very horrible place. I normally don't leave to many reviews unless I have something positive to say about the establishment but Angie's Mexican Restaurant ruined a night out with my family twice and then tried to blame it on me when they were the ones who made the mistake, I didn't run my card twice!! they did, then told me it was my fault because I added on 2 extra side items. My card was charged double that night. And the result of that was I didn't get to take my kids to the movies, as a matter of fact I took my kids to the movies and tried to purchase the tickets and my card was declined. Very embarrassing!!! the money was refunded to my account days later, but by then I was already charged an overdraft fee. I tried to talk to the owner, Memo about this but he blamed me. He said it was my fault I didn't have the money in the account and accused me of trying to take advantage of him because I expected the money back. Go look at my other reviews, I'm always positive but this guy is the opposite of good customer service. Also Memo, the quality of your food is no where as good as it use to be!! Your portion sizes are much smaller, your ingredients are less fresher. Your refried beans where an off color and runny and not to much flavor. Are you doing your Spanish rice out of a box? I'm a Texan, I know food, especially mexican food, it's my favorite. I will never return to this establishment again and there are many other great Mexican restaurants in Conroe that has always been great, stays consistent and knows how to run a...
Read moreThis was my first time here, I brought my whole family here because my wife and Daughter had been there before and enjoyed it. I am sad to do this was a disappointing visit though. The food was pretty good, however the meat had a lot of fatty pieces in it on the Steak Ranchero that my daughter and her friend ordered, and my daughter was disappointed because she said the food quality has gone down. I on the other hand was greatly surprised whenever the check came and it was rather high! (There were six of us) I started calculating and looked closer, on the check it said they were charging for Gratuity for 6 people, but the check didn't show the percentage or the tax. I asked the Waitress about it and she said oh yeah I think the Tip comes out to this... Which after calculating was 18% of the total after tax, and tips are supposed to be calculated before tax. I chalked it up and said lesson learned, and gave them the credit card, receipt came back higher than the total on the check and an open spot to add tip, I looked closer and it shows that they pass on the credit card processing fee to their clients. After this I really really felt Nickeled & Dimed! So I hate to say that what seemed like a real promising place to go to with good atmosphere/art, and good service turned out to be a let down. My wife and Daughter who went there somewhat regularly, and me a potential repeat customer won't be...
Read moreYesterday I really wanted tacos. Today, I’m eating tacos. Follow your dreams. And let me tell you how strong my 🌮 game is. Originally my girlfriends and I were going to @tacovelozconroe. Unfortunately, the power went out on that side of town. To say we were sad is an understatement. 🙁😭 "I've read really good things about Angie's, it is just down the street." "Let's go." I ordered the soft tacos, and this lady was so cool, she let me get one of each kindof taco- ground beef, roasted chicken, and shredded beef. HANDS DOWN, the ground beef was the best one. Next time I will get all ground beef. You have to ask for the spicy green sauce, if that's your thing. It certainly is mine 💁♀️. My friend got the Tex Mex enchiladas and really enjoyed then. My other friend ordered the queso flameado with chorizo. It was cool to look at, but it wasn't the bomb.com, taste wise, according to her- so you'll be aiiiiight without it. Don't be without that Mexican Coke, though. It may be my new fav drink with food. I'm kissing the beer buh-bye. My sister has a $10...
