This is a true "Old Vegas" experience that should not be missed. From reading reviews, we knew reservations were a must. We arrived about 20 minutes prior to our reservation time, which was about 5 minutes before they opened for the evening, and had to wait outside until doors opened. It was kind of fun to be able to mingle and talk to others who were visiting from all over the world and get their take on Battista's. As soon as we were allowed inside, we were immediately seated. If we had not done our "research" we would have been confused as to the menu and how to order as our waiter was not very friendly, ok, he was downright grumpy. We were not about to let this ruin my daughter's birthday celebration and just laughed it off. The most delicious bread was immediately brought to our table, and there was a ton of it! Seriously some of the best bread I have ever had! We were also given the choice of white or red wine. We don't drink but still wanted the "experience"and ordered the red. We didn't care for it, probably because we aren't drinkers. We were a bit surprised at how our water glasses were not filled when empty. That garlic bread made us thirsty and most of the meal we were wanting water. We were not asked if we wanted soup or salad and the wrong choice was made for us. Once we were able to get the server's attention, we were brought our salads.Salad was fresh and good, just not great...nothing special.Service was pretty quick and our main course was brought out in a very short amount of time. Both of our meals were absolutely delicious and were very large servings. I have honestly not had better manicotti in my life. My daughter order the chicken alfredo, and it too was delicious. The chicken was superb. It was a beautiful color and was very moist. We were brought our "cappuccino" which was delicious, but I am 99.9% convinced it was Swiss Miss Cocoa with spray whipped cream on top. I love Swiss Miss, so that was not an issue, but it did give me a chuckle at the thought of the raving reviews about the cappuccino. Since we were celebrating my daughter's birthday, a brownie with a candle was brought out to her. Our server, literally, threw it on the table, mumbled happy birthday, and walked away. Again, we had a good giggle! The food here was delicious and we will make it a point to visit again. And, it was a fun experience, even if our server was having a bad night, we were not about to let him ruin our night. The food was a 5, the service was about a 2 or 3, but I still enjoyed the night and opted for a solid 4 star review.

I have mixed feelings about my dinner here. Here’s why: Immediately upon entering, I smelled what I can only describe as “wet dog.” You know that smell of an old place that needs some type of inexplicable cleaning? Perhaps mold? I adjusted to this until I got up to leave; it came back to assault my senses. The restaurant was also hot. I had to wipe my brow a couple times. I don’t know how the staff deals with it running around and all. And it was in the low 60s outside. The hostess was incredibly pleasant. She had to ask someone where there was availability for where to sit me. As a solo diner at 9:00 pm on a Monday, you’d think this wouldn’t be an issue. When leading me to a table, an older grumpy woman cawed “56 is all we have!” And shrugged her shoulders. I’m sorry - am I being an inconvenience in a restaurant less than half full? Things turned around when I met my server Christian. He was obviously overworked running around, but he was very friendly and super attentive. I read some people complain about the $20 split charge, but he described it to a table that it covers the garlic bread, salad, wine, and cappuccino. I think that is an incredibly fair deal!! The salad was very good, and the garlic bread super tasty. I had to stop myself from eating too much as I still had chicken parmigiana coming. I loved the entree. Many places have sauces that are too salty; it was perfect here. I ate nearly all of it! The old fashioned was a bit of a letdown because it was not served with a big cube. Anyone who follows me knows that using regular ice cubes or chipped ice waters it down too quickly. I also had an espresso martini, which was probably the best I had during my trip. I wanted another, but I recognized the restaurant was closing so opted not to. The house red wine was ok as well. All the food was fantastic and came out quickly. Almost too quickly. It makes me guess how freshly made my entree was. It came out within minutes of ordering. The restroom was clean, and the wall of liquor bottles was very cool. Overall this was a good night. An initial odd seating experience made up by Christian’s service and the food.

Honestly I almost never leave reviews on anything just because I don’t feel like it but this was so amazing it felt necessary. The service was fast and amazing and we waited almost no time at all to get our food after ordering it and the food was so so good and I’m a huge lover of Italian food so this was amazing! I got the chicken Alfredo and my boyfriend got the lobster shrimp pasta. The atmosphere is very comfortable and feels homey in a way. Me and my boyfriend went there for his birthday and it was my treat (now keep in mind they don’t have desserts on the menu) and so I told our server Richard that I wanted the check personally because it was my boyfriends birthday and I didn’t want him to know the cost but Richard went the extra mile and when he brought the check out he brought a brownie with whipped cream and a candle and sang happy birthday which was so sweet considering they don’t offer desserts and I didn’t expect or ask for it so it made me so happy that he did that. Richard was a genuinely amazing server and if I go again I will ask to be sat with him he was awesome and that was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! The man helping him Lorenzo was cleaning up our dishes and brought out the starters was also so sweet. Both Richard and Lorenzo were both amazing the food was so delicious and the restaurant itself was very cool looking I would 100% recommend this restaurant whether you live in Nevada or are visiting you should go it’s amazing!!!

Our group was looking forward to dining here but it was just honestly disappointing. We had a set reservation time for 730pm, and sat and waited for another 30 minutes before being sat. What’s the point of the reservation? It would’ve been fine but we had a show to attend and the host was RUDE when I asked about how much longer it would be. When we finally did get sat our server ( older male) was absolutely horrible. He took our order and was only seen when he dropped of our door another 30-45 minutes later. We asked him for our bill when the food came since we had a show and when he dropped it off he left without waiting for us to pay, only to be gone another 15 minutes. Our entire dinner he did not come once to refill drinks.. it got to a point we found a water pitcher at a cart nearby and filled our own waters TWICE!! If I’m spending over $200 on dinner I think service should be much better. We didn’t even get the after dinner cappuccino or were offered it because our server was non existent. The chicken Alfredo was gross, 0 flavor on the sauce and hard noodles. The fried calamari was soft and hardly crispy. The salads and Garlic bread were great. The side Italian sausage my wife really enjoyed. The lasagna was decent, but it tasted very dry. Overall after spending over $200 with the lack of service we received and rude waiting staff and sub par food I don’t think I can recommend this place. The vibe is cool but not over $200 cool.

Some family friends were in town and they wanted to make a trip to Batista's. We had a 630pm reservation and that's a must. Thankfully when I arrived there was parking available, the parking lot is fairly small so it could be an issue. We all arrived on time and we were greeted right away. Our table was ready and we sat down right away. Our waiter was prompt and greeted us right away, he brought over a few carafes of wine that were complimentary. The menu is pretty simple and makes for fast turn time. Most of the guys got the Ribeyes and I chose the chicken Parm. Once you order the carts start arriving with your meal components, first the bread which was decent but could have been cooked just a little more. The salads came out right after and it wasn't bad. Not long after the food is out , again due to the limited choices with mixing and matching the food seems to be very Assembly line. The guys all enjoyed their Ribeyes and the sides were a little lack luster. My chicken Parm was ok. The sauce was very sweet and while the chicken breast was a good size it was tough. The cook took a whole breast butterflied it and fried it. With a breast that thick you need to tenderize it and beat it down so it's not tough. Over all we enjoyed ourselves and filled out bellies but I think next time they are in town we'll definitely try somewhere else.

Absolute worst dining experience ever! We arrived for our reservation on time and watched at least 4 other parties, that arrived after us, with the same reservation time, get seated first. The host was just plain rude to everyone, not just us. Customer relations is not her calling. After about 20 minutes, we finally got sat. The server was not very friendly and at one point, actually put her hand up to shush my wife. The food was very mediocre at best and we felt rushed the whole time. Here's why. After serving the cappuccino/hot chocolate, the manager comes up and tells us he needs us to leave now because he has a large party coming in and needs the table. We were there less than an hour. Never in my life have I been asked to leave a restaurant because they need the table. Then he got an attitude with us because we were upset. Refunded one meal but kept the tip. We are locals and have been there many times and bring people from out of town there. They were just all over the news complaining about F1 ruining their business, so we felt bad and wanted to go there tonight instead of one of the other big resort restaurants. Well, never again! There are plenty of other local options with better food and service that would appreciate our business. I hope you do finally lose your lease and they put up a nice parking lot.
