Golden Corral Buffet & Grill — Restaurant in Greenville

The first time I went loved it gave it 5 stars but the second time I went was horrible from the food to the staff It was so bad I'm not going back to pay 40 dollars for cold food is Diabolical who serves cold fish the fish was literally cold and even the server knew it they did not care at all the silverware nasty and they did not have any plastic ware they said the truck was running late the guy at the front taking the money was rude and to top it off we looking for our server and she back there eating while her section was disgusting 🤢 once I paid I didn't even wanna eat after that the dude on broil the steak guy don't know the difference at all between medium and Rare its sad I couldn't even enjoy myself because everyone was coughing it was in need of a good cleaning the food was cold the Mac and cheese rice and gravy my daughter mostly ate rolls it was a complete waste of money not to mention when we pulled up all the servers were outside I thought they were closed but against my better judgment I went in anyway and wasted my money never again especially after I had just given them a great review horrible experience maybe coming from a Expert who has worked at a Buffet I worked at Ryan's for 5yrs Spartanburg SC we never ever played this this was 🤢 I am Also A Neighborhood Expert as well as Osha Certified so I definitely know what I'm talking about the whole store needs retraining from the server to the dishwashers and the people on the bars should check the warmers to be sure they are working properly the food is suppose to stay a certain temperature so that let's us know it is not being checked as it should save your money this is not worth it and it's not a friendly atmosphere the greeter was rude or tired I couldn't even tell honestly I won't waste any more of my money and I always tip the whole thing was a waste no need for an apology if it's not coming with a refund I want my tip back too but yall keep it I'm just never coming...

This rating is for our visit on June 15, 2023. We went here about 4 pm which is our normal time we'll eat out post covid. I have to say this place did an amazing 180 degree turnaround overall. The salad bar was impeccably clean. The food was fresh. Love they changed their individual bowls. We, as consumers, can tell the freshness of the produce and the employees can as well. Awesome. The restaurant itself has been overhauled with everything looking clean. Love the new artwork around the restaurant, floors were kept clean. Looking forward to a another visit soon. Great job to the management and staff!

This was my post from four years ago, around 2019. At that time I gave it an overall THREE star rating.

Unfortunately the Cherrydale location doesn't come close to the Easley location although should be quite similar. We went about 2:30 so it was slow enough that the different areas should have been cleaned up and any of the food that didn't look up to par weeded out. Specifically talking about the salad bar, the lettuce had more brown spots than not, wilted leaves and was dripping water. Not a good start. I bypassed the cucumbers because of soft spots. There was more olive juice than black olives (and honestly, olive juice truly isn't visually appealing). They'd be better putting in a shorter container, fill it with the olive slices and add juice to keep them moist. There were many shriveled grapes tomatoes.. I could go on but I'll just say I ended up draining the water from the lettuce I picked through and put some of the crab salad on top. The hot bar looked much fresher. My hubby had a burger, said it was okay. He's also a sweet eater and liked the chocolate cream pie. I went for the banana pudding. Our server was fantastic and extremely personable. I will say the chili was actually good. Not likely to return to...

Recently visited this Golden Corral. This was the first time coming to this one. I have been to other ones before. Wehen going to the register to pay. I was greeted and welcome to the restaurant. We got here for a late lunch which ends at 4:00 p.m. then after that they switch over to dinner for a higher price but if you're in the door before 4:00 you pay the lunch price and entitled to the dinner. They soft drinks , sweet tea or unsweet tea to pick from as well as hot tea and coffee. The price does not include the drinks so if you want a beverage you would have to add that to you're a meal.

They have plenty of different kinds of food you can pick from they also have a salad bar with many different toppings for your salad as well as fruit. Some of the items they had for lunch were mac and cheese hamburgers Pizza green beans and many other items for dessert they had a ton of things chocolate covered strawberries chocolate covered Rice Krispie treats many different pies one of my favorite ones was the cotton candy cake never had it before it was delicious.

Everything seemed to be filled up but later on I noticed that the salad bar was not being maintained properly it was getting low and even some of the bowls were empty not sure if they changed shifts or not but prior to that everything was fine.

They have a Rewards app that you can sign up on your telephone and for every $100 you spend they will give you a $10 off rewards which you could stack up and don't have to use it all at once if you don't wish to.

The restaurant scene pretty clean but the restroom was not in very good shape otherwise I would definitely recommend this place. They have plenty of varieties food If you have a picky eater in your family like we do this would definitely be a place I believe...
