Lineage Coffee Roasting — Restaurant in Alafaya

When Lineage announced that they are opening a location on University Blvd my first reaction was: "Another coffee shop?". It was surprising since there are already Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, and Foxtail in mile distance from each other. I was still excited to give it a try. I would like to say that this Lineage location is probably my most favorite out of three the company has, and out of all coffee shops around. It is a perfect combination of a coffee shop that serves freshly baked pastries with a delicious cup of coffee while offering a space to study and hang out. The atmosphere makes it a huge difference, it is simple but so beautiful, with plenty of windows and greenery. There is a drive-through if you do not want to leave your car. The staff is very nice and willing to help you out with a choice of pastries or a beverage. Their pastries are all made in the house and are delicious. Update: it’s 2025. I travel from NC to come here 1-2x a year. The team is always so nice and so helpful and so professional.

When I moved to Florida in 2021 I was worried I would not be able to find a delicious and local coffee shop. Lineage has been that place for me. Nearly 100% of the staff are conversational, friendly, and remember frequent visitors.

The coffee menu is less busy than most, the options are straight and to the point which is very nice. The rotating bakery items are all expertly crafted and worth every digital dollar.

Music is played at a comfortable volume and the playlists are always perfect.

I travel for work and spend a lot of time in a lot of different places, and coffee roasters are always the places I seek out when I am on the road. Lineage is one of the best coffee roasters that I have found anywhere in the country. They obviously have a really good understanding of the coffees they are serving, especially evident in the one and one, where you get an espresso and a mini latte with the same espresso. Not many shops do pairings like this, it really highlights a great understanding of espresso and pulling a great shot. The croissant cinnamon roll was also great, super flaky but still had that signature cinnamon roll taste. Service was fast and personnel were pleasant.
