I have been an Ihop fan for over 15 years for me the best place to eat breakfast ever. But I have been notice for a while their decrease in customer service that is offering they opened an Ihop 5 minutes away from my home. I was so excited. However each time I went it was a nightmare and in 3 months they had change managers and nothing had improve dirty table no hostess and under train overworked employees. Decided thar I will drive to 11571 University blvd ihop. Which it has been my favorite Ihop run by an amazing manager called mack But unfairly they forced him to retire. That man ran that Ihop to perfection. After seeing what they did to this amazing Manager. I started to go to First watch while very busy they run it to perfection. However Saturday the 19th I decided to visit the Ihop at University. To encounter my self to 5 totally had no clue under trained most disrespectful children because that is how they were behaving. 6 tables open of party of two and they were not willing to seat any party of 2 before a party of six. Have been going to that Ihop since they open they went through several managers until Mack took over and ran that place impecable. I asked the undertrained spoiled uneducated most disrespectful young girls and one lady totally overwhelmed old lady. I asked them if they have 6 tables of party of two why they were not sitting anyone. The incompetent answer was we can’t seat out of order until we seat a party of six. Right away with a disrespectful attitude. I told them this is simple. Take three of the table of two put then together and you will be able to seat a party of six. And will not have peoole coming in and leaving for the mess that you have here. They all started screaming at me that they could not seat me first that they ran that Ihop and were in charge! I tried again to see if they had brains 5 incompetent young disrespectful girls that had no common sense. Tried again I don’t want you to seat me ahead I am giving you a simple way of sitting a party of six. Again they started screaming and right away told me we run this place and we are not going to serve you. We don’t care how long you’ve been coming here. I asked them to speak to the manager while they were screaming GET OUT this is our store not yours! Finally an overweight manager dripping in sweat came out I now wonder how many customers ate breakfast full of sweat! I right away understood why this Ihop had decline so low to a level of dirt. It always starts at the top. He never asked me what happened he told me Im overwhelmed and helping Chris because he was out and he didn’t care what I had to say that I was not going to be served. I told him after seeing you and how much you are sweating I no longer want to be serve! A WORD TO IHOP WE DONT NEED YOU! YOU NEED US! There is too much competition out there and you are not able to run without money! We happily left after seeing him and the absolute worst customer service in my entire life! We were laughing at the fact that this incompetent young girls have no idea where their pay check comes from. Went to first watch where there were adults working and perfectly run and ate my most amazing carrot pancake and the server as I aways tip got 100 dollar tip as I always appreciate Servers that make their money by serving. My major is Restaurant Hospitality manager. Have worked in very high class restaurants. Saturday August the 19th was my last day that I will ever step a foot at any IHOP! CHRIS you tell your little girls they can keep their store and dripping sweat overweight manager that has no idea what a customer service is all about! I will be happy to bring my friends and family and support in every way...
Read moreCame by yesterday with my wife being that I’m a veteran to take advantage of the Veterans Day breakfast combo. The server who came to take care of us was a very polite lady, but unfortunately, when I asked for a simple cup of coffee, she brought me a carafe that had hot tea in it instead of coffee? when I brought it up to one of the nearby servers working at the restaurant she at first didn’t believe me and had to smell the carafe to believe I was telling her that was not coffee there it was tea as she went ahead and passed it over to the server who took care of me when she came over to my table. She went and apologized and mentioned that the person who made the batch of coffee must’ve inadvertently put tea instead of coffee, which was gonna obviously cause now other patrons to go through the same thing I did, but at the same time the server found it amusing that I wind up getting tea instead of coffee, so I then had no other choice, but to ask for a lemonade to not repeat the same ordeal this place started getting busy and one of the servers came Buy to take away our plates being that we finished eating quite a while ago, and my wife, and I remembered that she deliberately dropped all the plates into the bin that they go into making a big noise which we found a little bit concerning because apparently it seems like they were getting busy and it was just not a proper way for me to feel comfortable having breakfast here again I normally go to the other IHOP by Alafaya and I realized why? The good thing was that at least my breakfast...
Read moreI've been to this IHOP a few times. The food is always good, but the service has never been too great. However, tonight was by far the worst experience I've had, not only at this particular restaurant, but at any restaurant I've ever been to. Our server, Doug, barely said a word to us. We walked in the restaurant, and it was super slow, maybe two or three other tables and one other server. He stared at us as we walked in the doors, not saying a word, until finally my friend says "We have two please." He seemed annoyed, and he grabs two menus and, again, not saying a word, walks over to a nearby table and throws the menus down. When we finally sit, he stares at us again, and mutters "drinks?" under his breath so we barely heard. Fast forward a bit, we're eating our food, drinks empty, waiting on him to check on us. He comes over to grab plates, and asks my friend if he can take a plate she's clearly still eating off of, but doesn't even bother to ask if we wanted refills or needed anything else. The restaurant is super slow, he's just standing up front doing nothing. We felt awkward and uncomfortable the entire time, and again, while we are clearly still eating, drinks still empty, he throws our checks down and walks away. I work in the service industry myself so I am not one to complain, throw fits, or ask for free food. This was just an extremely terrible experience. We were really looking forward to just going to IHOP and eating pancakes. We did not expect to feel...
