Outlaws Bar B Q — Restaurant in Upper Grand Lagoon

My server was the only reason this place is getting three stars because otherwise it would have been 1. When I came in the restaurant they were pretty busy but the restaurant was not full. I was greeted by the bartender as I came in who pointed to a table in the back corner that was a four top. More people started coming in so We moved before two top since we had been in there for several minutes and no one had come by the table. I was able to finally order us a drink and get menus and we sat for probably about 15 minutes by this time. We ordered an hour food came out immediately. Another reason I am so grateful because we had the server we did. I sat and watched as the server who had the other half of the dining room walked by repeatedly never saying a word to new customers coming into his section and not attending to the ones who had already been seated. When our food arrived everything was cold like almost straight out of the refrigerator. All three of the meats we're cold as were the vegetables. The french fries did come out like they had been under a heat warmer thankfully. The food did taste pretty good but it was not even close to room temperature and it was pretty warm in there. When I left one of the tables that had come in and the other guy section had still not even received drinks and they were sat down before we received our food. The server that I had I mentioned that to and she went over to take care of them but at this time they had probably been in there for well over 30 minutes and did not even have drinks. A table next to us who was part of a larger party and had been in there since before we arrived we're just having their orders taken by the other server. I guess all I'm saying is if you go in this place ask for a female server or sit at the bar because both of the ladies seem to be taking great care of...

The food here is truly terrible, the “brisket” was so shockingly bad I doubted its authenticity. It was tasteless and looked like a thin slice of soggy gray rubber. The pulled pork also managed to be subpar. Also, the macaroni and cheese was just devoid of any taste, it had the taste and consistency of what I imagine Elmer’s glue to be like. The best thing of the entire meal was the sweet potato fries, which were very good. It just seems so strange that that the best food at a bar-b-que place is the fries. The servers were also incredibly bad, we seated ourselves and the response time was at least 5-10 minutes for a server to come to our table, there were maybe 4 other occupied tables at the time, so no excuses of being busy or short staffed - they never walked through the room. After we had finished eating, the servers couldn’t have been quicker at getting us out of the restaurant, almost as if we were an inconvenience. Very odd as we were one of only three occupied tables by the time we were finished eating. Finally - avoid the men’s rest room, it looks like a creepy scene from Saw, I even took a video because no-one would have believed...

My husband and I tried Outlaws BBQ and we were very impressed with our waitress and the food! Service was great and the beers are served in cold mason jars which was a nice presentation. We loved the spicy bbq sauce and I really liked their white sauce as well. I ordered their juicy ribs and they were fall off the bone amazing. I was also impressed with the turnip greens. Not a fan of the potato salad or the Mac n cheese. Potato salad is not Southern style so no relish. But for those of you out there not fans of relish, this tater salad might be the one for you! The Mac n cheese was like any other restaurant style Mac where the noodles are little over cooked and no crust with the cheese. But not terrible. There is also live music and the environment is nice. Great gem for lunch or a fun chill date night after exploring the beach! Also happy hour is 1/2 off adult beverages!!!! Can’t beat that! The three meat sampler is amazing as well! So, we will definitely make this place a must when we come back to PCB! I would give this place 5 stars but the tater salad and Mac n cheese took a star. However, everything...
