Zameen At The Point — Restaurant in Capitola

Tasty,, great flavors, and fresh! We have experienced different cuisine from our travels around the world and love Mediterranean cuisine. So, we thought we give it a try at Zameen At The Point. We had take-out food: lamb bowl, falafel bowl, Zameen salad and extra Tzatziki. The Tzatziki was done with dill, one version of Tzatziki recipe which was great. The lamb bowl was delicious, they cut the lamb in thin slices which also surprised but worked very well. The falafel bowl had cranberries and almonds – also surprising flavors -but worked great; we loved it! We also loved the salad. We had Saffron rice with one and couscous with the other. Both were done perfectly. We also liked that the food did not come in plastic containers. So for us, Zameen is kind of a new wave, fusion-type Mediterranean cuisine. Congratulations! Decided to try this place based on the reviews and we wanted something light and refreshing for lunch. It was nice that they had a children's menu. My children tried the kids burger, and chicken and rice bowl. They liked both of them, especially the chicken and rice bowl. The two adults got the lamb wrap and the gyro wrap. Both were amazingly flavorful and delicious, plus they were very large. the food was refreshing and flavorful. I would highly recommend this place and would come back again. Make sure to stop by if you are in the area. They have outdoor and indoor seating, but the only parking is street parking. Or you can park a few blocks away near the point in the free parking lot. Stopped in at this place for dinner while on a trip to Santa Cruz. Overall our food was very good. The lamb burger is absolutely delicious and the sweet potato fries were as well. My daughter's kid's meal cheeseburger looked pretty basic but she added feta cheese to it and seemed to enjoy it. We asked for steamed veggies for our baby but they only had roasted. We gave those a try but while they had a good flavor, they were very tough. Way too tough for our baby to even attempt to eat so I ate about half of them but they just weren't very good compared to the rest of the meal. We also all noticed it was freezing in the restaurant.
