Let me start by saying that I truly enjoy Groucho’s and have had consistently great experiences in the past. It’s one of my favorite spots, and I always look forward to dining there. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was very disappointing and did not reflect the level of service or quality I’ve come to expect. My boyfriend and I visited on a Friday evening around 5–6 PM. We understand it was a busy night in Conway with Halloween events happening, but the restaurant was clearly understaffed and lacked an efficient system to handle the crowd. There was only one waitress covering the entire dining room and one young man handling drinks — both of whom were clearly overwhelmed. I genuinely felt bad for the waitress, as she was doing her best under a lot of pressure. We only saw our waitress twice during the entire visit, and it took 50 minutes for our food to arrive. The table in front of us had been waiting even longer, which made it even more frustrating to see that another table — seated and served after us — received their food in less than 15 minutes. When I went to the counter to ask about the status of our order and the table next to us, I was told, “That’s about the time food is going out for online orders too.” That response felt dismissive and inappropriate given the circumstances. When our food finally arrived nearly an hour later, both of our sandwiches were disappointing and not up to the usual Groucho’s standard. After waiting that long, it was incredibly frustrating to not even enjoy the meal. Again, we truly love Groucho’s, and this experience doesn't reflect our typical visits. However, this situation was unacceptable. It’s clear that the restaurant needs a better system in place — more staff to handle dine-in orders, a proper host to seat guests, and better coordination between the kitchen and front-of-house. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as we’d love to continue supporting this restaurant, but changes need to be made to avoid similar issues...
Read moreThis trip started out asking my wife where she wanted to eat. She said Groucho’s, for their pastrami Rueben. So we left Little River and headed out on a 45 minute country trip to Conway. The trip, worth it. The Rueben Variation sandwich, probably the best between here and New York. She had hers with the herb slaw, and I had mine with the kraut. Perfect. Comes with chips, a pickle, and dipping sauce that is out of this world. We ordered a couple soft drinks, only to finish it up with brownies, and a couple surprise chocolate chip cookies! All sounds great right?! Wasn’t just the great food. Miss Avery, our server, could NOT have been any kinder, any more sweet, any more of a great representative of Groucho’s Deli. It was if we were family coming in for a meal. It’s 2023. This world is seeing some bad times. It is a beautiful thing to go out for lunch, and be met with someone who has sunshine in their Soul. Was the food great? 10 out of 10. Miss Avery though, absolutely priceless. So if you’re within an hour of Conway, take a trip to Groucho’s Deli. Well...
Read moreFIRST OFF LET ME SAY THAT THE FOOD WAS GREAT AS ALWAYS, BUT TODAY THE SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE! WE ONLY GET AN HOUR FOR LUNCH AND Y'ALL ARE ALWAYS BUSY SO WE DECIDED TO PRE-ORDER BECAUSE MOST TIMES BY THE TIME WE GET OUR FOOD ITS TIME FOR US TO GO BACK TO WORK. SO WHEN WE GOT THERE WE CHOSE TO DINE IN. BY US DOING THIS IT CAUSED US TO NOT GET ANY SERVICE. THERE WERE ONLY THREE PARTIES DINNING IN; THE WAITRESS WENT TO THE OTHER TWO TABLES NUMEROUS OF TIMES BUT NOT ONCE DID SHE CHECK ON US, OFFER US ANYTHING, MAKE EYE CONTACT. SO WHEN WE WERE DONE WE WENT UP TO THE LADIES AND ASKED WAS THERE A REASON WHY NO ONE SEVERED US AND SHE SAID BECAUSE WE ORDERED AHEAD THAT WE DON'T GET ANY SERVICE . WHAT? SO YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT WE AS PAYING CUSTOMERS WHOM DECIDED TO EAT IN GET TREATED LIKE WERE NOT THERE! WE WERE BASICALLY INVISIBLE TO THEM. I THINK THAT ALL PAYING CUSTOMER SHOULD BE TREATED THE SAME NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES! WE WILL NOT BE GOING TO THIS PLACE AGAIN. THANK YOU BUT...
