Another Veggy Addict — Restaurant in Conyers

I went to AVA, Another Vegan Addict, and tried the BBQ Jackfruit +Side for $13.85. My side was mac and cheese. First, the sandwich and mac and cheese were okay, Ifoundthe sandwich a B it too sweet and the mac and cheese had a good flavor but was too runny for me. For the price I paid, $18.20 with tax, I would NOT recommend it. I told the cashier, Brit, it was my first time, and she suggested the mac and cheese with my MEAL of a BBQ sandwich 🥪. The sandwich +side was $13.85, in store and online, so why was I charged an additional $3.00? I don't want to guess, but I'm not happy about it. I know she, cashier Brit, knew HOW much I should be charged because she told me she has been working there for over a year. So, I let her charge me $18.20 for an okay sandwich and okay mac and cheese. I wrote this because Karma will ALWAYS prevail in the end, and I want others to know what happened to me specifically. I will never return to this place because not only did cashier Brit cheat me of my +side, but she also robbed me of ever wanting anything thing to do with Another Vegan Addict in Conyers, GA ever again! You will probably say I should've spoken up, but that shifts the BLAME from Cashier Brit to me. Cashier Brit is/was not stupid in this situation. I was the only customer in the store, and she was working on a Uber/Doordash type order when I walked in, so I waited for a hello because she was busy. She stated that she was finishing up a pickup order. While she was working, she spoke to me about AVA and what else they sold and did for customers. This is WHY I know she overcharged me on purpose. She was slick, but I believe she didn't think I knew, but that is why I wrote this review. The money is why and the ONLY reason why AVA will not receive my patronage again nor those of my friends who may be looking to support small businesses and try something new. The owner is a breath of fresh air. A truly amazing human. The food is vegan and creative and DELICIOUS!! Even if you are NOT Vegan, just TRY IT! The menu is healthy and full of flavors. I've had the salads as well as this last trip my fiancee and I got the jackfruit tacos and side. She got fresh fruit as the side and I got the jalapeno coleslaw as my side. We licked the plates lol!! Everything was truly amazing. I get her chicken salad bowl EVERY TIME I visit. I snack on it all day. So full of flavor and the textures are SPOT on.
