Excellent idea, poor execution. Let me begin by saying I am really hoping to go back in a few months and be able to edit this review to a 5-star. However, there are so many things going on in this place that could absolutely be done so much better!
I'll start with the design... While the overall concept of the Brew Wall is fantastic, the setup needs some tweaks. When you walk in, you are greeted by a hostess who will give you a very vague rundown on how things go (should be a step-by-step list on the wall to avoid confusion, especially when the place is packed). Once you're seated you'll obviously go check out the main attraction itself, that glorious wall of beer. That's where the "beeristas" will try and assist you in choosing/pouring your beer. Its an extremely fun concept, but people need to know how much beer you're allowed to pour at a time (We weren't told there was a 32 oz. limit until after I was pouring beer for friends and had to stop to go get someone to reactivate my bracelet.) And also, unless I missed it, you need to be able to see how much you've been charged in total for pours thus far. Its a dangerous guessing game until you get that bill.
Lets move now to the confusion of the wait staff when trying to follow up on your food order. As of right now, they are set up to bring your food to your table by recognizing what beer tap you have which is associated with your order. While I completely get that its a fun play on the beer aspect of this place. It does lead to a great deal of disorganization. Our table got the wrong pizza and was missing a dish on their meal for quite some time. The servers could not figure out which beer tap was what and caused a lot of food to go haywire. Not to mention not knowing the actual menu itself which is the result of ineffective training. This not only affects the front of house in getting the food to the table, but piles extra orders on the kitchen because they have to re-make quite a bit in order to fulfill orders that have going out into the current Bermuda triangle dining room. There's no reason to try and reinvent the wheel here guys, keep it simple and get the food where it needs to go.
And last, but definitely not least. This is a Beer Wall restaurant, 50 taps of your favorite make and flavor. The mecca, if you will, for beer lovers alike. But riddle me this... how in the world did anyone think that a tiny restroom with only ONE urinal and ONE stall was going to make the cut for this phenomenal feet of beer tasting??? Again, an oversight in design which hopefully can be corrected for the sake of full bladders near and far.
All-in-all, the experience was a bit of a letdown. You can see that the passion is there, it just needs to be corrected and directed into making the experience a more positive one for all. Hopefully, the kinks will get worked out in these first few months and this place will turn into the successful restaurant we all know and...
Read moreHave a friend who recommended the pizza here is incredible. Said I NEED !!! to try it. Being a huge pizza and beer fan I gave it a try. I got a butter crust pepperoni pizza and 4 wings. The wings were good but not worth $2.50 each wing $10 for 4 wings ?What a money grab. I get wings that are better quality at Whiteys booze and burgers for .50 cents each and they taste better. The pizza was not that impressive either and was way overpriced $18.00 for a small pepperoni.I really thought it was gross with all the sauce on top and cheese underneath. The beer selection was good. It would've been even better if you could have 2 oz glasses so I can sample them before hand. Also a buss tub for the dirty 2 oz glasses. I am not into everyone putting their lips on a glass and everyone cleaning it on the same sprayer. To use the same glass over and over is unsanitary with this current set up. Also all the glasses were poorly cleaned at best. Looked like they were rinsed in dirty sink water and put on the shelf. It's all about presentation and your glasses are a total cringe. That is just poor training of your staff. Also thought it was some kind of scheme how you charge per ounce of beer ? Soo weird! Only place I have ever been to that does that. Then reload your bracelet and serve yourself .I like people to serve me when I pay to go out to eat. I can serve myself at home. It would be a good idea if you could sample beer flights on your own but you lack that kind of setup. There has to be a science to the charge per ounce scheme and I don't trust it.Ended up paying $48.00 dollars for a small pizza ,4 wings and two beers. Way overpriced and overrated.I would have been happier with a pizza from dominos ! Wouldn't have taken an hour. Would have had a peaceful night at home.On top of all this there was a guy throwing his 50th birthday. He had about 50 friends in there who were getting drunk as skunks and being really loud. Totally obnoxious and inconsiderate of the other patrons trying to have a nice dinner. With the large group party it took the staff an hour to bring me my small pizza and 4 wings. The staff was busting there butts the whole time and is the only good thing I have to say about this place. They don't deserve this owner. It was totally unfair to the staff and other restaurant guest to host such a large party.Made me frustrated at the owner for allowing parties. Not the correct venue!! You need a separate party room with a separate bar. It was not okay for that guy to host his party there. The fact that you allowed that and didn't turn him away was terrible.Putting your guest and staff through that is just going to chase people out of there and very greedy of the owner. It's not a private room with it's own bar. These people literally took over this restaurant and were rude to the other guest and staff. I will not come back here ever or recommend it to anyone....
Read moreI recently visited Brew Wall with a group of friends and had a rather disappointing experience. While the ambiance was pleasant, I was dissatisfied with the service and pricing.
I ordered the Prosciutto White Pizza on gluten-free crust, and to my surprise, I was charged $32 instead of the menu's advertised price of $20. The staff explained that the price increase was due to adding all the ingredients onto the pizza for gluten-free crusts, but I was not informed of this when I placed my order.
Moreover, my pizza didn't even come with the Prosciutto that was listed on the menu. When I raised this issue, the staff argued that regular customers already knew about the added charges, which felt like a way to avoid responsibility for not informing me.
As a celiac, I must order gluten-free crusts, but the lack of transparency and the unexpected price hike left a sour taste in my mouth. I believe customers should be informed about any additional charges before placing their orders, regardless of whether they are regulars or first-time visitors.
Overall, I regretted my dining experience at Brew Wall. If you require a gluten-free crust, I advise you to be cautious about the possible extra charges. I hope the restaurant addresses these issues to provide better service to...
