Wow, three years of time can really destroy a place. I had to literally change my entire review because this is no longer good. For starters, I remember when the tableside guacamole was not only made in front of you but was actually mashed up with ALL the ingredients. This time, I just a bowl of cut up avocado pieces with lime and tomatoes. Didn't even taste good and the texture was awful. Moving on to my main course, I got a dinner combo with two chimichangas. Not only was there no seasoning in the meat at all, but the shell of both chimichangas were soggy and uncooked/raw on the under side. However, I think the main thing that really shocked me the most was the staff. Took 15 minutes just to get a waiter to my table and even when I did, I didn't see the same person after that. On top of that, one of the ladies was eating a dairy queen blizzard in plain view of the dining room while she took her break amongst those that were actually working. Granted, it might simply be that they don't get long breaks or don't have a proper break room, but that's something that upper management should handle then. Oh yeah, and my full bill before tip was just under $31. For a small bowl of guacamole that really wasn't guacamole, a dinner combo that wasn't fully cooked, and a drink. This place is severely overpriced and underwhelming. I know of several Mexican places that not only have better food but are significantly cheaper as well. The only positive I'll say is that the main lady at the front that showed me to my table was super nice and engaged in conversation which was a nice way to start the evening. However, that's not nearly enough for me to ever consider coming back!

This place was utterly disgusting , I am in town from Chicago and me and my family was looking for a place to dine in at near the hotel so we stopped here the manager (a guy) was so very disrespectful I didn’t like my drink so I asked if I could get another one and he stuck his straw into my drink and tasted my drink and tried to give it back to me and told me he likes it so I should like it too and that he couldn’t get me another drink I was so stunned and baffled . The waitress was also very rude never came to check up on us never gave us waters didn’t want to take our orders also when we sat down we didn’t get serviced until 20-30 mins later . We were put out of the restaurant because we were honest about not liking our food I had the tinga tacos and the avocado that came on top of it was black and my sister and brothers food was very bland my brother had steak fajitas and they only gave 2 taco shells . I am very upset with our experience I am not one to try and pull the race card but that’s how we felt when we left 0/10 would not recommend

My 1st visit to tres potrillos was a spontaneous drop by at 4pm. The staff seemed very nice. The ambiance was welcoming, we were sat directly in the front booth by the hostess & entrance (not a good seat). I'm not a big fan of mexican food but i must say that the menu had quite a few entrees that i've never seen before & i consider myself pretty well traveled. So i decided to try something new (bad idea) i ordered a lobster stuffed pepper of some kind & that pepper was huge lol. I didn't like it so i ended up scooping the lobster contents out of the pepper & it was good ( a little spicey) but good. The pink lemonade was horrible & watered down. So i admitted defeat & bailed on my meal & ordered a lobster & shrimp fajita & it was very good. I recommend this restaurant for the mexican cuisine lovers, i'm sure you'll have more success picking entrees than i did.

We have been visiting Tres Potrillos for years. It was always a top choice. Even during the start of Covid, we would order take out to help show support because we love this place. However, they brought in a new manager at the end of 2020 (around November I think) and things went downhill. The manager during this time period was extremely rude with poor customer service skills. I saw him roll his eyes at customers and talk poorly to people, including employees. It was upsetting to see and I just couldn't support this behavior. So, we stopped visiting this restaurant as frequently. They also got rid of their Belly Rewards program during his time as manager and would not honor any remaining points/rewards, which was disappointing. Yesterday, we decided to go to Tres Potrillos for my birthday. I was EXTREMELY happy to hear that they have a new manager now as of recently, Roberto, who seems like the perfect fit to get the restaurant back on track. He is very kind and I'm happy to know I can visit my favorite restaurant again and feel comfortable doing so! 😊 What a great birthday surprise! I ordered the fajita quesadilla which was tasty. Everything I've ordered before has been good. A lot of times I get the queso fundido with grilled chicken + soft tortillas on the side (which is what my husband ordered last night). Also, our server yesterday was lovely & Yuseel the bartender is one of my favorites!! The Cadillac marg was on point!!! Thanks for an...

If I could give zero stars, I would. Ordered takeout and was given a pickup time. When we returned from the pickup, we realized that the food was cold, there was no rice with either dish and the beans were missing from another. We returned to the restaurant to correct the problem. The hostess with blue hair was rude and didn’t apologize for the errors. She also answered the phone while talking with me and then didn’t speak to me again. I waited and a manager came to the front. Again, no apology and said we must have come too late and that’s why the food was cold. I asked for the food to be remade and to make sure all items were included. Less than 5 minutes later, the manager returned with food in a new bag. It was obvious they had no time to remake the food, but rather they just reheated it. Returned home to realize that we still had no rice for either dish. Having worked in the service industry for over 10 years, I realize that problems happen. However, when they do, you go above and beyond to apologize and make sure the problem is fixed and the customer leaves satisfied. This did not happen. It was very clear they didn’t care at all if the meal was correct or if their customers were happy. I will never return to this restaurant and highly urge people against trying out...
