I will start by saying that for me to give a 5 star rating to a fast food restaurant is quite remarkable. I cannot speak for the experience inside this particular location, however I regularly frequent the drive through during the busy lunch part of the day. It is not unusual for the line to be wrapped around the building and sometimes even out onto the street. Seeing this line during your lunch hour might cause some to keep on driving, but there is a good reason so many people are willing to risk hopping into such a line. The truth of the matter is that Chic-Fil-A has somehow managed to master this challenge quite smoothly. During its busiest times of day, there are extra staff not only inside but outside! They divide the line into two with cash being taken at one lane and cards at the other. They actually stand in front of you with a tablet (and menu in hand for those who need to look). At times, I have seen up to 4 people walking down the lines of cars to take their orders. Another person for each line takes your funds and gives you your receipt. They do not make you merge back into one line like other fast food retailers. Then, people shuttle food from the drive through window out to your car. Here is the kicker though, after all that, I have yet to have them mess up my order (and I tend to have alot of special requests to my orders). I actually drive away without even checking my order, because they actually get it right! How they keep it all straight is beyond me! Other places I frequent have mistakes almost every time I go. Not Fairlawn Chic-Fil-A. If there was actually a mistake, I probably would be shocked. I also appreciate that every single staff member is always pleasant, friendly, and professional. This is a rare thing in this day and age, that I value so much, I prefer Chic-Fil-A over all other chains. I find this to be consistent across the franchise and not just the location. I also appreciate that they are willing to employ more people during their busy hours instead of overworking their employees by short staffing to save a buck. Whatever they are doing, they are doing it right, and more companies she look to them as the...
Read moreI love Chick-Fil-A...not just this Fairlawn location...I have been here several times (more than 20 over the years) and each time it's the same subpar food! I decided to give them one more chance on 6/19/19 and I walked out...I went at 2pm and to my surprise there was only one car in the drive thru, but I always go in...went inside and it was 2 people finishing up ordering at the register...as usual they have 20 employees on the clock milling around aimlessly, went up to place my order to a friendly cashier, attempted to order the CFA meal and asked that my patty be well done...was informed they no longer "well done" any food (other than fries) bc it will hold up their kitchen...in bewilderment I looked around and there was no one in line behind me and the drive thru still had ONE car...out of curiousity I asked him how long does it take to.cook well done fries (who orders well done fries anyway?) He responded 30 seconds...I asked how long does it take for a well done chicken patty and he responded 30 sec to 1 min...I guess the cashier got where I was headed and said they were instructed no well done food other than fries...I thanked him, and walked out...he looked amazed that I didn't order...now obviously "well done" chicken seems to be an often request from patrons (for them to tell cashiers not to do it) so if its often requested, perhaps they should cook the chicken longer overall! If you don't get well done chicken at this Fairlawn location, the breading is missing or falling off the sandwich and a soggy mess....they don't have vinegar packets sitting out here and when you ask for it they always remind you how expensive the packets are...serious! I mean CFA isn't cheap by any stretch and you mean to tell me I can't have a patty cooked a minute longer and 2 vinegar packs...even at Burger King I can have it my way! The CFA at Chapel Hill (Akron/Cuyahoga Falls) rock! Super friendly and food is always cooked perfect,...
Read moreOverall a better choice for fast food, but they have a real order accuracy problem at this location. We come maybe once a month or every other month, and I'd say at least 50/50 chance something is wrong with our order. And that's probably being gracious. My son loves the little play area and there's a dining room attendant who is great with kids.
Updating this because I am just so frustrated with order inaccuracies. Just placed a delivery order through the mobile app, and for the hundredth time (it feels like) they forgot an item from my order. This time it was a medium fry, the last two times it was my son's chocolate milk from his kids meals. Times before that it has been drinks, fries, cheese sauces, even a sandwich. We stopped eating here for years because of how horrible they are about correctly filling an order. But my kids REALLY love it, and we have been patronizing the location again in the last couple of years. Well I might be done again. I called the number listed to explain the problem and get my missing item(s) or a refund, instead it sent me to their central line, where all they could do is make the store aware they are terrible at filling orders, but cannot refund me. Because I was foolish enough to use the app for delivery, I have to make a second call to Doordash because that's who they allow to process their payments. In the meantime my food gets cold and I get to go without my fries so my kiddo can have them. Terrible service and I still don't have my missing item...
