If I could give them zero stars I would! Placed on online order for pickup and selected notifications. Was finally notified that my order was ready and that it had been ready for over 3 days waitng for me to pick it up. I head to this store, walk to the back where Order Pickups are done, only to be greeted by a sign that it was unattended and that I would need to see a cashier at the front of the store. So, I turned around and headed back to the front to find two cashiers talking and not watching for customers. Stood there for a while before I was even acknowledged and then when I told them that I was there to pickup an order, I was told "I can probably help you." Probably? Probably??? I was then asked for my phone number to find the order, which I gave them, but they couldn't find the order. I gave them the order confirmation and barcode to scan from my order confirmation. Then they proceeded to ask for my ID and the last 4 digits of my credit card like I was picking up some multi-million dollar order instaed of a few tee shirts! Wasn't the confirmation email and my ID enough to match to your order information?! I don't even give that much information to a pharmacist!! Is it any wonder why we shop online and have it delivered to our homes?! Never going to this JC Penny again! Most likely none of their stores! Lost a...
Read moreI was disappointed in the response my husband and I received at store in akron last Friday. I had bought a pair of tennis shoes and they had fell apart within less than a month. I tried to return them to the store, and I was treated very rudely and condescendingly by a sales associate and a floor manager . I was told that I could not return them because they had been worn. Yes they had been worn. They’ve been worn for about three weeks and they started to fall apart and the shoes were $90 and they said it wasn’t their problem. They basically told me that I had to call back and talk to the general manager on Monday which I did and she was very rude and condescending also and said it it didn’t seem to be their problem. I was very very disappointed in the service that I got. I am a long time JCPenney customer I order a lot of things online and in the store . The worst part about this experience was that my husband and I were embarrassed in front of other customers that were standing nearby. It’s not like we were trying to get something for nothing. I just believe that if you buy a product, especially a pair of shoes and they fall apart in less than a couple weeks that there should be some kind of action taken by the store, I will definitely think twice about shopping at...
Read moreWhere do I start? Yesterday I placed a order for a pair of shoes in a 9.5 wide and they shipped in as a 9 medium. Called to cancel and said they couldn't had to wait for shoes to come in first. Okay. So shoes shipped in today got a email around 7 pm stating they were ready so about 740 I called to just really quickly cancel it. The lady who answered sounded older and got irritated stating "you'll have to call tomorrow all of our registers are closed. We are closed." Uh it's probably 15 mins till close at this time. Closed? Early? I'd understand some registers but all? Especially when I just need something quick as probably 3 buttons hit. So she put me on hold for 15 MINUTES UNTIL IT DISCONNECTED because store was closed. So now I'm on day 3 of just trying to cancel a order jcpenney had switched on me because they ended up being out of the 9.5 wide in the color I wanted. What the heck. I'll be sticking to amazon i worked walmart for 6 years and I've Never seen customer service this bad. That lady needs a lesson on being polite to people who buy things who keep her employed. I'm so glad i didnt think to ask her name before she put me on hold. I'm livid this is not okay to do to anyone. It's not even about the shoes its about the respect and kindness the...
