First I want to say that I have been a customer of this Anamia’s location for a minimum of sixteen years. I absolutely loved it. On average, I ate there once a week. Anytime someone would ask me, “where do you want to eat?” My first reply was always, “ANAMIA’S!!!”
However, since March, I have ordered to go (curbside pickup) because I have a compromised immune system and each time has been a disaster.
First, it started with receiving bags of crumbs instead of chips. At least twice, I had to return to get replacements.
On another occasion, I placed an online order (again for curbside pickup) and here are all of the issues: 1. the chips, again, were the size of sand 2. I had ordered Jay’s CHICKEN, well done/cooked (bien cocido), and it was, literally raw and pink (unfortunately, I have since deleted the pics) 3. The large guacamole was to be WITHOUT (SIN) onion (cebolla)and cilantro. It contained BOTH. So, I called the restaurant and requested a resolution. The manager, with whom I spoke, told me she would issue a refund. However, the refund wasn’t issued and it took EIGHT follow up phone calls to complete a PARTIAL refund.
Ten days ago, I placed an order on the phone. I, specifically, asked “does the Anna platter contain onions?” (It had been awhile since I had ordered it and I couldn’t remember.) The young lady who was taking the order didn’t know so she placed me on hold and when she returned she said “No. Anna’s platter does not contain onions.” And I said, “Great, I’d like the Anna’s platter, but please note: absolutely no onions.” I also ordered a bean tostada/chalupa. I was told my order number (#172) and headed to the store to pick it up. I remember the total was $13.96. I am a generous tipper so I gave the young lady $3.00.
I got home, opened the container, and took a bite. It was riddled with tiny chopped onions. The lettuce, on the chalupa/tostada has a very strong lemon taste. Since I was starving, I ate the bean tostada/chalupa (despite the citrus). I then called the store and the (same) young lady (with whom I placed my order) said she would have the manager call me back and I gave her my number. About twenty minutes later, the same person called me back and said she had spoken with the manager and that the manager would refund me the cost of the Anna’s entree.
About four days later, I noticed I had not received the refund, so I called the store and asked for the manager. I told her I had placed the order on Thursday, September 17, to-go number 172, Anna’s platter with a bean chalupa/tostada and the total was 13.96 with a $3 tip. And, to date, (today is Sunday, September 27), I have never received a refund for a single cent, for Anna’s platter.
At this point, it is what it is. Their customer service is terrible. Despite the fact that this location is the closest to my home, there IS more than...

This place is okay as I've eaten here before on a few occasions. But unless you want to wait one hour to be seated at your table, wait for someone to greet you and take your food order, then wait for food on a Friday night around 6pm, I would go elsewhere. It's not worth the wait. Better off going on a Tuesday or a non busy day to give them a try.
Edit 4/6/17
Decided to give them another try. Was sat and greeted quickly. Then started downhill after that. Food was okay. Had the Javier enchiladas, (sour cream chicken enchiladas). The lighting is somewhat dim so would be nice for a date maybe. Our server greeted us and took our drink order and appetizer order. Then she disappeared. For like 20 mins. I saw her standing by the kitchen laughing with some of her Co workers. She saw me then continued her conversation. A manager walked by and asked if we needed anything and I told her we needed to place our food order. The server came by shortly and took our orders, (party of 6). Food came rather quickly, was missing something, so I waited to see my server. She was non existent for about ten minutes so I flagged another server down. If I'm spending over $20 for my meal, I need better service than that. The server acted as if she was entitled to a large tip simply because our ticket was high and didn't feel the need to wait on us. Our drink went empty for awhile as well. I'm not the type of person to complain about much, but we will definitely not be going back. I can take my money elsewhere and get better...
Read moreI normally do not rate publicly, but this experience I needed to share. My husband and I dined at this location frequently in support of our Coppell community businesses. My husband also used the catering service for his business clientele. However, over time we have experienced the decline in customer service. On this particular day (Saturday) we arrived around 4:30 and was seated immediately. It was not a busy time at all. The chips and salsa was placed on the table, but that was it. We sat there for at least 10 minutes and was NEVER approached by a server/hostess to take our drink/food order. Two couples arrived a few minutes after we were seated and were seated in the same area (across and next to us). They were immediately approached AND were served their drink order in a timely fashion. We decided to sit at the table and observe just to see if anyone would notice we had not been served. THREE female servers/hostess (including those who served the other two couples), walked by us several times with odd looks, but yet NOT A ONE stopped to ask if we had been served. We sat there a total of 20 minutes before we decided to leave. Of course not before speaking respectfully about our concerns with the manager on duty whom had NO valid response as to why we were not served. We decided to travel to the Anamia's Southlake location. We received superb service from beginning to end! We will certainly give the Southlake location a 5 star rating AND our personal and corporate business...
