I've tried many different Tex-Mex restaurants that offer the same exact kind of food, but what keeps me coming back to this specific one is the TASTE & QUALITY. You can get fajitas & tortillas anywhere however, you can't get ROSAS' FAJITAS & TORTILLAS anywhere but here. The taste of their meat & the quality they use is immaculate, this is coming from someone who is extremely picky about meat. Whether it be chicken or beef i can personally guarantee you that their meat will always be consistently juicy, taste the same and will always have the same standard quality, that only they offer. Yes, i will admit this place can be a bit pricy so if you are in a pinch I recommend the bean & cheese burritos, or any other individual burrito or taco but here specifically I will say "you get what you pay for" rings absolutely true! Most places cheap out on their cuts of meat, but not rosas cafe. This, their tortillas & their beans are what keeps my family and I coming through the door consistently. My family and I once literally fought over who got the last bits of meat in the plate to make their taco with, as we typically get the DOUBLE MEAT FAJITA FIESTA, or just the regular FAJITA FIESTA. Besides the quality of their Ingredients, their staff is what keeps this place running and I must acknowledge them because they are the real MVPS here, without them there would be no tasty food! The staff members are always friendly and accommodating, you can even walk up where you get your order inside and the kitchen staff will also go out of their way to help you in any way they possibly can. My family and I, highly recommend ANY & ALL ROSAS CAFE locations and will continue to faithfully spend...
Read moreFlour tortillas are as Mexican as Nicki Minaj. That being said... there is nothing wrong with either especially when they are fresh.
I grew up watching tortilla making machines make tortillas, this is what Mexican mother's do, they send you to get the tortillas, tortillerias (tortilla shops) scattered around the city and it is always easy to get half a kilo of freshly cooked tortillas for your dinner. But... in Mexico we do not use sweet corn or flour for them. We use non sweet white corn from a mix called Mixtamal.
So every time you see white flour tortillas, you know the establishment is not authentic Mexican food, but more of a Tex Mex sort.
And Rosa's is that, a fantastic Tex Mex place with a decor that would please any USA tourist in Mexico. It is pleasing to the eye and as stereotypical Mexico as "Colberto Reporto Gigante." Bright colored jacket and mustache included.
The food is served fast and it is both satisfying and delicious. All the meats have a charcoal grille flavor to them, the flour tortillas are just delicious, and the salsas are decent, most are as spicy as ketchup, but the "chile de arbol" one is almost good.
We enjoy this place, my favorite are the steak nachos, or the grilled steak plate with peppers and grilled onions. My daughters like the...
Read moreMy wife and I came to eat at Rosa’s because she loves the tamales and rice there. We came at 9:05pm and we tried to order 2 orders of the fajita chicken platter. The kid working the register told us they only have enough chicken for one order. And I asked why they couldn’t make more. He said “yeah we’d have to cook more and we’re almost closed so we aren’t going to.” It’s 55 minutes until close, so you’re going to refuse selling chicken to everyone else for the rest of the day? Business must be good if you’re able to turn away sales because you don’t want to cook chicken. You’re a restaurant, isn’t your whole business model predicated on you cooking food? I’m a Director of Operations for a Tex-mex chain and I would be baffled if one of my employees turned away guests because they didn’t want to cook more chicken AN HOUR BEFORE CLOSING. You may as well change your hours and close at 9pm then if nothing is getting cooked from 9-10pm. We will never return to that location and it will be a while before we go back to any Rosas (if that day ever comes). There’s too many other options for Tex-mex in the area where we won’t be refused food while they’re still open. Lazy and poor management at...
