I left Olive Garden at Coral Springs after eating Chicken Scampi. The Chicken Scampi, which I mentioned to the staff, was a "no go" and I stated that it had too much sauce for the first time. For the first time in all my years eating at Olive Garden, the Chicken Scampi was full of sauce. I have been a customer since 2007 or earlier. I noticed that when I went into the bathroom and checked on my throat, the right side of my throat had swelling and not the left side. It began to hurt when I swallow while I was finishing the Chicken Scampi. I also had raspberry lemonade to drink. I ate the Chicken Gnocci soup prior to the Chicken Sampi and had no reactions! This is the first time I have ever in my life time sat down at a restaurant and had a reaction! I have been watching this Olive Garden branch in Coral Springs and I notice sometimes the Chicken Scampi meal is weird/different from what I am used to at times! If you changed the recipe for the Chicken Scampi please let your customers know! I do not know if all that sauce is to mask a new ingredient during this covid season! Please check the roster for the staff and chef during the lunch hour of Thursday, July 29, 2021. I left around or after 3:00 PM! I am still a faithful customer to Olive Garden because I know Olive Garden and I know the quality of workers you have hired in the past. I also know that its mostly young people, which I have reported to the president that are giving problems in the area. I already mentioned that there needs to be a draft for the young people in America and for Veterans to take their place at these jobs that they mess with people or hate working at for whatever the reason may be. There needs to be training in respect, empathy, discipline and love. Young people cannot exist in America if they have hatred towards other people and playing around with diseases! Please note that I have witnessed near this area, young people messing with the orange juiceat McDonald's and the straws at McDonald's have been dirty. I am a person who encourage and teach young people to be productive! I am not against the young people but there are too many bad apples! I took two Benadryls, two Tylenols, gargled with salt water and hydrogen peroxide. I noticed that the right side of my tongue reacted to the peroxide with white foam moreso than my left side so I am aware there is something there after having that meal. My throat feels a little better now and its around 4:56PM EST and I will update you if all goes well after 24 hours! Yes, I was tested for covid and it was negative but if all does not go well I will test for covid again. Also, I will let you know of any medical expenses resulting from this meal! Again, I am not against Olive Garden and I support this business but I am aware of the changes in staff and the difference in the meal service at the location in Coral Springs, Florida! Thank you for years of quality service in other areas such as New York City,...
Read moreI was not impressed with this location. I usually go to the Olive Garden on US1 but for some reason we decided to try this one instead. It was Valentines Day night, an hour before they closed. That might have been our first mistake but we have jobs ... and kids ... so things rarely go as planned. I added myself to the wait list. I was impressed that that was a option and it made me look forward to the fact that we could wait in our car with our hangry kids in the meantime. Fastforward 20 minutes, we were now 4th on the waitlist so we decided to go in and see how much longer because the text message left that part blank. I told the hostess that I added myself to the waitlist and gave her my name. She said there was nobody on the list with that name. I said I've been tracking the number of people ahead of us on the website and she repeated that there was nobody by my name on her list. I showed her the text message I got and she argued with me again and read me all the names she supposedly had... and then said oh ... Kerry Keller? it is here ...
My husband asked about how long it would be and she gave him a very short "i'm not sure" answer to which we all stood there kind of confused and went to sit down and wait.
The family behind us then spoke to her and we overheard her tell them it'll be about 15-20 minutes. Um ... ok ... she obviously lied to one of us.
2 minutes later we were being seated (which makes me wonder where the 4 supposed groups of people on the waitlist were hiding). I asked the guy who seated us what the hostesses name was and he said "You mean my co-worker" .... I then realized that this might not be the brightest bunch of employees to put on the same shift during a busy night. The hostesses name was Aya, by the way. Sorry, I mean his co-workers name is Aya.
By the time we sat down at our table the bar had closed so no smoothies for the kids. Somewhere between the last time we went and this time, the menu shrunk about 80%. It seemed like there was hardly anything to choose from. Our waiter, Marco, was amazing ... very tentative to us and sweet towards my kids. We rushed to leave as everyone cleaned up around us. It was an experience I would...
Read moreWe stopped in for lunch, because for the past two weeks, we've been craving some Olive Garden. We arrived around noon, and there wasn't a wait at all. We were taken to our table after the hostess was stopped by a manager asking about another guest being seated. It took a bit for our server to arrive at our table, so we had ample time to look over the menu. We ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and the Eggplant Parmigiana, both of which come with a choice of soup or salad. We both opted for the salad, and, of course, the breadsticks!
The pace of our meal was painfully slow. The salad finally came out, as well as our iced teas and the breadsticks. The breadsticks tasted like they'd been reheated, and had an unusual amount of salt on them. The salad was flavorless...how is that possible? Our meals finally arrived (after our server came to the table and apologized for the wait as he'd forgotten to put our orders in), and the presentations were good. My eggplant parm was perfect! It wasn't mushy, and the breading was crisp. The side of spaghetti was flavorless, and needed salt. We also had a second round of breadsticks that tasted fresh and had the normal amount of salt on them.
Overall, our experience could have been better. Our server was very nice, and apologetic for the delays, but I feel like either he was new and nervous, or he was overwhelmed. From what we could tell, he only had 3 tables, so I'm not sure that being overwhelmed was the issue. Again, he was very nice, but just seemed a bit scattered and behind. The food was...meh. I'd had much better at other Olive Garden locations. The prices seem to be slowly creeping up as well. Our total bill for lunch was around $40. That was for two entrees and two glasses of iced tea (no alcohol). I do like the Olive Garden brand, but this experience didn't hold up...
