We usually just LOVE BWW, but this last time was horrible! There's no reason we should have been there over an hour. It wasn't busy. We got our drinks right away, which was nice. But from there it went downhill. Ordered our food, and asked if i could try a sauce before making my final decision on the sauce for the wings. She said yes she would be right back with the sauce. After about 10-15 min after ordering, my partners wings came out first delivered by a different server. Then 5 min later, my daughters cheeseburger delivered by yet a different server. Then 7 min later, my partners and my burgers arrive dropped off by a different server. I asked her about my wings and asked for a side of mayo. She said she would have the wings checked on n will grab mayo. Our server comes over and I asked her abt my wings. She stated she didn't put them in as i had asked to try a sauce first to see if I liked it or not. I asked where the sauce was. She said she would go grab it, along with refills that we were waiting on. Brings out the sauce 10 min later, still no mayo or refills. My fries are now cold. I said yes to the sauce. Our refills came about 5 min after this. 10 min later, wings come out. which was about 15 min of waiting from when I tried the sauce. By this point, I was tired of waiting. I wanted my wings with or before my meal, not at the end when I was already finished eating, my partner and daughter had been finished eating for 20 min at this point. Not sure why I didn't get to sample the sauce in the very beginning before she put in the order....but had to wait until after our burgers came to even start the wing order? Bill came to $53 and some change. Asked to split the bill with partner. She comes back to show that we each paid around $34....not sure how $53 turned into $68, but the manager was able to fix this. Also want to add... we were not the only people waiting. A family sat down next to us, waited 15 min before getting up to grab our server as they were in our section...waited another 15 min for their drinks...it was just bad. Watched the supervisor/ Manager and his assistant laughing and joking most of the time while the tables sat there and waited. I did see one of them help deliver food sometimes. No one asked how our service or meal was. Just really bad. Maybe our server was taking too many tables and they had already cut the other servers? Not sure, but it was just bad. Not sure we will be back. Might drive about 20 min to a different location. Update* Service was better tenfold! Ordered the new bacon patty melt. was small and had no flavor. Any of the other burgers would have had some sort of flavor. Would not recommend. Tried the new flavor maple Chipotle. It was good and ordered some wings with...
Read moreI would like to tell you about my families experience at BW’s in Coralville, Iowa. The hostess asked us whether we would prefer a booth or a table and we said we preferred a table. The hostess then asked whether we wanted to be seated in the dining room or the bar area. We said whichever is easiest for you. She then proceeded to walk away and we assumed to followed. She paraded our family around the bar and back into the dinning room, back where we started. As she noticed we were following she turned around and rolled her eyes. As we got back to the dining area she sat us at a booth by the front door. We didn’t want the booth next to the door because we were cold and asked if we could sit at the one across from the booth she had chosen. She then rolled her eyes again and she all but slammed our menus on the table and rolled her eyes again, said nothing and disappeared into the back. The hostess then had a conversation with our waitress and looked back at us. As we waited the waitress came out but never came to wait on us. Another group came in and was seated at the booth across from us and the waitress ignored us and waited on them! We sat waiting for 10 min and then another booth in the section was seated and waited on. The waitress that had talked with the hostess, walked away from us and waited on the other table first. When she realized we were getting up to leave she came over to us to wait on us. She walked away when she realized we were leaving. The hostess never came back to the floor. I talked to the assistant manager, Damion, and he insisted that the matter would be handled. No accommodations were offered to us for the rudeness we received. Read moreI would like to say that this location has lost my entire business. Today, after a company picnic, co-workers and I joined each other for some after hours fun. We were the only party in the picnic area, about 10 adults, with a child. As an adult, after a long day we all wanted to grab a drink. The mother of the child was not consuming any alcohol for the sake of her child being around us. Apparently, after a horrible experience, a waitress decided to take it upon herself to judge our entire group and bring it to a manager that we were an unsafe environment for a child. I will admit, we had a member that had consumed a volume of alcohol, however, their actions should not reflect on the entire party. Some of our guests were told to remove themselves from the establishment (the mother, child, and grandfather) - none of which had been consuming alcohol. Another one of our guests was cornered by this particular server, practically telling him that we were irresponsible for bringing a child around us while we are consuming some alcohol. This guest was then refused service, after only having ordered one beer from the time we arrived (about and hour in). I believe this to be a poor act of customer service. I, myself, have been a server. I understand some guests can be a little out of hand, however, at the end of the day customer service is everything. It is highly unprofessional to judge customers, considering we are your source of running a business. This particular server, wasn't even servicing us - a bartender was. We were completely uncomfortable about the situation, many of us left the establishment due to how we were made felt: NO CUSTOMER SHOULD HAVE TO FEEL THIS WAY.
