We were traveling through Coralville on a long road trip and it was 95 degrees outside, so we chose to stop at an eating establishment that had a patio for our small well-trained therapy dog. Keep in mind that this dog goes to hospitals, nursing homes, schools and daycare centers. She was laying quietly under my chair outside (and we were the only two outside) while my family went in and ordered. A very rude employee came out and told me that she wasn’t allowed on the patio because they have glass on the bottom half surrounding it and so she’s a “public heath hazard.” She’s fine to be at hospitals, but outside on a patio apparently isn’t okay. I get that the employee doesn’t make the rules, but A. She was super rude about it. And B. NO WHERE is it posted on site or online that pets aren’t allowed. In fact, Noodles and Company is often touted as a good place to stop with your dog because of their outdoor seating. We ended up eating in our car on a 95 degree day because we were from out of town and had already ordered. On top of that our food was cold and there was hardly any sauce. We...
Read moreFood was great as always but there was a lack of customer service and general respect. I ordered the spicy Korean beef noodles, and I was given meatballs. I told him "this is not what I ordered," and clarified to him that I had asked for the spicy Korean beef noodles. He immediately corrected me saying "no, you ordered the meatballs, but I'll get you the noodles." Perhaps he heard me wrong, but he does not need to cop an attitude about it and blame me for his mistake. I was given no receipt (on the bag/after paying) and he didn't repeat the order. If there was any confusion, he could have asked to clarify as I assumed he was knowledgeable and competent but proved himself otherwise. I also noted that there was quite the line building up as I was waiting for my food, and no one seemed to care about it. As someone who has worked in restaurants all his life, this was a red flag and definitely a poor way to handle the situation. I'll be sticking to other locations, the employees at the Iowa City Noodles are far nicer and have respect for...
Read moreI stopped there to eat after taking my 2 teen daughters and 2 of their friends to the mall so we could eat before the long drive home. When I ordered I made sure to tell them NO MUSHROOMS I'm allergic. The food I received, of course had mushrooms in it. My daughter ran to the register and asked for help but was told "we can make her a new order" and that was it! No offer to help, just offer me a new meal and leave my children to figure something out. Fortunately one of my daughters friends, not legal to drive, drove me to the nearest station and got me benadryl before my reaction got out of control. What the hell!!!! I was so sick, dizzy, tired and in need of rest by the time I got back to pick up every one and head home, I couldn't argue with them about it. So I messaged their head quarters about it and no big surprise, no answer. The food was good, as long as you don't have a deadly food allergy that they don't care to...
