Shamrock's Grille & Pub — Restaurant in Corona

This is a cute joint. Gave 4* over all, but I would go back. Like EVERYWHERE they were short staffed, one server for the place. It wasn't packed but just busy enough but she did great fir the situation excellent service. Food was fine. I had their mushroom burger. While I maybe could have used a little BBQ sauce, that's just my preference Onion rings and fries were excellent and a good beer selection. Fish and chips good too, on the salty side, and had malt vinegar available. The reason for only 4 stars is being short staffed it seems some things ran low/out. I actually ordered their tri-tip chili burger, but they didn't have enough. Might be the party before us used it all up! And being short staffed it took a bit longer to get our meals. Again not really any one person's fault. I just wondered where management was to help out.. May in the kitchen?

Overall the experience was good, but could be better, I am sure of it. I hope to update thus another time and...

Came here on a Saturday evening and the place was almost completely empty. Nobody greeted us upon arrival, had to seat ourselves. When we ordered water and soda, we had to ask for refills, the waiter didn’t offer refills. We waited unusually long for our food to be served, and when the food was served, not everybody’s plate came at the same time. We got the chicken sandwich, a burger, and the shepherd’s pie. The burger and the sandwich were good. The shepherd’s pie was very bland. Would not recommend it. The menus state that all sandwiches come with fries OR a side salad. We chose the salad option assuming that there wouldn’t be any additional charge since there was nothing indicating that on the menu. When we got the bill, there was a $2 extra charge for the salads. If you're a local, this is probably a great place to grab a beer. The staff seemed friendly and almost everyone that walked in and was a familiar face got a friendly "hello" and a short conversation. Unfortunately, I'm not a local and I just passed through to grab something to eat while I'm staying in town for work this week... Didn't interact with the service staff much just to take my order and say thanks as they dropped off the check later on. The food was decent, but much like the rest of these reviews allege, it probably could have been served a little hotter. For the price, I'm satisfied.
