We were told by GameStop employees to be there by 11:00 for the Nintendo switch 2 release. The numbers we were given were the numbers we would be in, in line. I should’ve been the 8th person to get the switch. We got there at 10:50 and were sent to the back of the line with no explanation. They told us it didn’t matter what number we had, back of the line. What was the point of getting out of work to get to GameStop at 3:00 to get our spot in line for tonight, if we were going to be sent to the back anyways? The lack of organization and honesty was apreach upsetting. But then when there was an upset customer who went to leave, the employee added (as soon as the customer was out of earshot) “free switch anyone!”. Regardless if it was a bad joke, it was inappropriate. The inside staff were confused as to why people with stickers (like us) somehow got sent to the back of the line and told us an apology. My son asked to see the grips that were behind the counter and as the worker was taking it down, the other worker got close & said something a long the lines of "if he steals it, there is people here who saw his face and can identify him" my son did not give any reason what so ever for her to even assume he was going to steal anything. Then to say it loud enough to where my son feels like he did something wrong for her to think that!!?? He BOUGHT the grips that he was looking at like he intended to. Read moreWent there this weekend to pick up a copy of Pokemon Arceus I pre-ordered, the cashier was a real trooper and also very friendly. She seemed to be the only on working there while we were there too and she was on top of everything.
I had meant to pre-order two copies of Arceus, one for me and one for a late Xmas present for a friend and it turns out I only pre-ordered one. The cashier helped me set up an order right then and there so I could get a copy to my friend! Something was wrong with the system and it took awhile but she was so determined to help me out!
