Herb your enthusiasm. Crocker’s Cafe in Costa Mesa has the most secret garden patio I’ve seen maybe anywhere. 132 E 19th St, Costa Mesa, CA 92627 They have all kinds of baked goodies to choose from. There were Oreo muffins that looked bomb, and all kinds of cookies, homemade juices, hand pies, and smoothies. We got the chilaquiles, which were decent but I wouldn’t write home about them. I definitely think it’s all about the patio - with a space this quaint and beautiful, you can’t complain. You can find parking on the street easily, but they also have a small parking lot. It really is such a cute backyard oasis. I would come here with. Good book and drink a coffee surrounded by all the plants. Did you know this little garden existed? . . . #patiodining #outdoordining #outdoor #outdoors #wheretogo #woah #orangecounty #costamesa #garden #secretgarden #gardening #wheretoeat #orangecountyfood #hiddengem #patio #socal #explore #discover #beach #cafe

My husband and I stopped by for lunch on a whim one day and we are so glad that we did! The place smells like buttery pastries and the staff is so friendly. You order at the counter and they have outdoor seating on the front patio and in the charming back garden. There is also a small parking lot in the back. I had the BLT + avocado sandwich which was amazing. It is served on toasted buttery sourdough bread, with thick chewy bacon slabs and fresh avocado slices. The sandwich is a generous size, more like 2 sandwiches in one. I took half of mine home. It comes with a pickle spear & potato salad which were both delicious. 5/5 stars, would highly recommend a visit!

Total hidden gem 🥰 love that they have gluten free options and even all the baked goods are kept separate which is so important when you have Celiac. I appreciate that they try to reduce cross-contact so I could enjoy the delicious treats!! It’s hard to find truly gluten free options in Orange County because so many people treat it as a fad. I loved the GF coffee cake and had a scramble for breakfast. The patio is cute but a little on the smaller side. There are also seats in the garden outback. I can’t believe I hadn’t gone here sooner. Will return!

What a surprise and gem to find this place! While visiting the area, I searched for a good & unique breakfast place. With delicious cheddar chive biscuits listed as a highlight, I was immediately drawn in. Expecting it to be in the usual strip mall, I drove past it a couple times. It’s an old home converted to a restaurant, nestled in a neighborhood with lovely garden in front. The parking lot is in back. This place has it all - charm, quaint, expansive menu choices, and large assortment of homemade baked goods. The portions are generous and made in house by their baker. The spinach omelette was delicious, the biscuits oh my so yum, and lavender late’ completed my meal. The biscuit was amazing; not the usual frozen small biscuit served st other eateries. What a delectable treat that I don’t do often, but always so happily surprised to find a place that has it all. And the bonus was personable & good customer service. ! look forward to returning with others very...

So you’ve stumbled upon this place from either google or maps near me. That is what brought me here. I was like you in the area for a meeting, looking for a good spot for breakfast. I read the reviews sitting in my car, 4.8 stars “cute, good Food, atmosphere” WRONG. I believe it’s hopped by locals. I spam $45 for 3 items, you know when your mom says I can make this at home. She’s right. French toast was very thinly sliced slivers with barely any egg on it. Opened for a side of fruit which was a small Slice of watermelon and 2 slivers of Orange. That was not worth $17. Coffee is what you make at home with simp syrups. Nothing special. Parking is hard. And they have 3 tables to sit outside and 2 tightly packed tables inside. Not a good experience, might as well go to Cheesecake Factory....
