Crazy Rock'N Sushi - Covina — Restaurant in Covina

Last night I went with my son and received the worst service ever! By the employees & the “manager” Craig! I had to ask for the complementary edamame & soup they give you & still they took for ever to bring it. I ordered the black spider roll that yes, usually it takes some time to make, but this took until my son was done with his food that was brought 15 minutes before. I only order it because the last time I order it at the bar it was delicious, this time it was nothing like the first time! the crab was not well fried & cold, as long as it took I would have thought it would have been somewhat warm at least just the legs of it! So I sent it back & ordered some baked muscles that as well took for ever, but while waiting I asked for edamame’s, the waitress came back & told me they were out of it but once they were done they would bring me some, maybe a few minutes later while still waiting for the muscles the table next to me got an order of edamame’s & I thought ok they’ll bring me mine after, 5 minutes later nothing. They bring the muscles & they look really not good not golden brown as they usually are & the sauce on top not tasting good, I try to wave a waiter down to tell him about it & he just passes me as if he didn’t see me, finally I call him over & asked to speak to the manager & he tells me he was the manager of the day, I asked him why he ignored me & that the service & food was not to part he just said ok sorry you are not pleased, I asked for my ck as I’m waiting a rude waitress comes over to bring me finally the edamame’s & she says they’re finally done, I told her well I saw the table next to me get some way before me but that’s fine, she responded with a bad attitude saying “no they didn’t they order them” I said that’s fine & she grabs the small plate she had already placed on the table & throws it into a pile of dishes that were right infront of my table & walks away.

Just a serious bad service! I hope they change their management soon & instruct their servers to have more...

On our way to Ontario Mill, we stopped by Crazy Rock'n Sushi in Covina to have some sushi as my son recommended this place to us. The moment we laid eyes on the menu, we knew we were in for a treat. It's a place where you could blindly select any dish, and it would undoubtedly be spectacular.

To keep things on the healthier side, we opted for the sashimi salad, a wise choice indeed. The bed of mixed greens was fresh and delicious, perfectly dressed with what seemed to be a soy sauce-based dressing. On top of this vibrant canvas sat a delightful array of sashimi slices, including shrimp, salmon, tuna, crabmeat, and yellowtail. Each piece was a burst of freshness and flavor, and the dressing complemented the sashimi beautifully.

The true star of our meal, though, was the Zen Sashimi Roll. It was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. Inside this roll, you'll find a harmonious blend of tuna, salmon, and yellowtail, accented by the satisfying crunch of cucumber. The combination of different fish might seem ambitious, but the chef executed it majestically, delivering a knockout sensation that left us craving more.

Ordered at 5 and pick up was supposed to be ready by 6:10. I Got there at 6:15, thinking I gave 'em a little extra time to get my order ready, but still had to wait until 7 to get the food. Apparently they prioritize doordash uber eats and other food service app pick-up order customers over everyone else regardless of when thebl order was placed.

I got home with the food and the soups tore right through the paper bag, spilling all over the back seat of my car. Every other place I have ever ordered take out from wraps their soup containers in individually wrapped plastic bags tied with a knot to ensure against spills such as this. I hope (but kind of doubt) that this place learns to do that in the future. The manager seemed not to care at all, and said they would credit me to replace the soups only after I asked what they would do to make this better. Seems like the time and energy I had to use detailing my car and getting the stink out instead of eating with everyone else was worth nothing.
