Braxton Brewing Company — Restaurant in Covington

I am livid. I met a friend at Braxton recently & there was one high top available but it had glasses and plates on it so I asked the bartender if it was available and she said yes. She stood there two feet from me looking right at me chatting with a co-worker as I placed the dirty glasses on the bar, then I got a paper towel and wiped down the dirty table. Meanwhile six or seven co-owners / managers stood around in a circle chatting. I thought I'd give them another chance. There were a total of five customers in the restaurant, I was one of two at the bar. Same group of owners managers whatever standing around talking in the same little corner. I tried for several minutes to get the attention of the bartender & he was over talking to the other employees. The woman he was talking to, a manager, finally noticed me trying to get his attention and gave me a very mean look like I was interrupting her precious time. And you charge $10 for a mediocre glass of wine? Appalled. The guys that started this business have been very successful, and I know firsthand they have treated the people that helped get them there terribly. Shame on them. I used to like Braxton but recently had a horrible experience with them when trying to book a private event. I toured the new space they are taking over (used to be the parlor). I wanted to rent it out for a rehearsal dinner and Kurt (the one in charge of events) told me the contract wasn't drafted yet but he would let me know when it was. This was in Dec 2021. I waited for weeks with nothing so I reached back out. Was told again it wasn't ready (no menu or pricing set yet).. Okay, that's fine. I wait another month and reach back out. I don't even get a response. I try again a few weeks later and Kurt tells me the date I want has been booked. HOW can it be booked if I've been waiting on the contract since December? He knew my date from the start and I had been asking for MONTHS to get a contract and it was available at that time. Wildly rude to pull this on a young couple who is in the stress of wedding planning and we now have to find a new venue. Most are already booked by now since Braxton decided to make me wait 4 months to get screwed by them. They didn't even bother to reply or apologize at all. Work with literally anyone else for...

Disappointed! Only give two star for two reason one is some of there os good and other reason is their main location of headquarter brewing is much better place. Today I took my father to their new location behind the Party Source Store as grand opening, which we went out of our way and few hour earlier , so the place was so and so, small, but more disappointed they didn't give out the free pint as first 100 customer as we ask for and the bar keep smile about it and blow us off. At same time their was few guys came along and they got their pint.

Again they got great name, logo and some good beer. Just didn't care for how it turn out today at the Newport location and didn't like how they were acting today. I know for sure I wouldn't go out my way ever again.

I was going get their pretzel, but lost my appetite all those people kept coming in hang around the pretzel and hover over it when they were exchange for money, drinks and so on. Bad idea for those pretzel being in...
