Want bedbugs and a view of trash? 20 minute wait for the elevator? This is your place! last time I stayed here was 20 years ago. There doesn’t appear to have been any upgrades made since then. checked into room 528. Found black mold and literal trash behind the toilet in clear view. under the corners of the bed skirt. Not only are there holes in the bedbug protection bags (both rooms inspected), there are signs of bedbugs. Please see photos. These red/blood spots are from where bedbugs get smashed underneath the cover.Called the front desk and they told me they were going to move me to a different room. moved us two floors down to what is essentially the first floor. I was in disbelief that we were getting downgraded because we were put in a room with bedbugs. Manager (cody? corey?) was rude, but he apologized and said that they didn’t have anything else. He then started grilling me about the rate I got??? said that I already got a low rate so he couldn’t do much for me and was like “where did you book this? How did you get this rate? How long ago did you book” etc. etc. etc.- like these questions had absolutely anything to do with the fact that they put me in a room with bedbugs and then downgraded me!!! asked if I booked it a long time ago. I said I booked it less than two weeks ago and he said. “WELL YEAH!”- so I’m not sure what that conversation was about. I guess he was trying to remind me of my place and tell me I didn’t deserve a better room than first floor/bedbugs because the Radisson website gave me a good rate??? absolutely ridiculous. Offered me breakfast/drinks. I’m vegan and their breakfast has no vegan options. Me and my roommates don’t drink alcohol. He ended up taking $30 off of the room but again, it felt like he was reprimanding me for the rate that I had paid for the room!! (said it was $200 room lol see photo)It was absolutely insane. The other guy at front desk was nice. Said that nothing else was available and then said that if they were any cancellations, he would let me know. So… Not everyone had shown up. Meaning they could’ve given me a different room. And put a later arrival in the room they gave me. But instead, this is what I got. Insanely loud rooftop machines DIRECTLY outside my window kept us up all night. Honestly, there should not be rooms there or these machines should be enclosed. they are ugly and super loud.Did I mention the ample outlets and chargers? Oh. It’s because they don’t work! If I could give zero stars I would. My room should’ve been refunded. Absolutely disgusting. Don’t stay here. Sleep in your car. And please, can the Radisson send the manager for some more training?? Gaslighting customers that FOUND BEDBUGS about how they “got that rate” is bonkers. and it has NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING! Should not have been discussed at all. WHAT ON EARTH does my rate have to do with YOUR BEDBUGS AND DOWNGRADING OUR ROOM?? Unprofessional is a massive understatement. Edit: I almost forgot! When they put me in room 328, downgraded after the bedbug situation, we got into the room and it had not been properly cleaned. You know the two plastic cups that they sit next to two water bottles on the counter? Those were already opened and out. So someone had spent time in the room before us or it had not been cleaned since the last people stayed. also, if someone jumps off their balcony, you would think that the Radisson would take some time to remove the enormous blood spot on the rooftop directly outside of our balcony. INSANE. almost forgot the manager was outside smoking a cigarette, overheard me tell my friends I was pissed about being downgraded and said “I’d be pissed too”. WELL FIX IT! edit 9/24-response below is hilarious considering GM promised refund and never followed thru. hung up when i called along w Cody at front desk. reported to...
Read moreHere is the bottom: there is literally no redeeming feature for this hotel that you should stay here for any reason. I can see Covington Kentucky has its own unique style of charm, but the Radisson is not it, in any capacity. Don’t want to read the whole review – just look at the list: -Every surface being dirty, in need of repaint, patch, or stain -Dirty lamp, fixtures with wiring showing behind -Towel bars, loose off the wall and mounted upside down -Leaky tub faucet, barely enough, hot water, rust, stains, toilet, mounted cockeyed -Hotel room, door, lock, broken, 1 inch door gaps under hotel door - someone in their hotel room, smoking marijuana regularly and the smoke and odor going under their hotel room door into the hallway and into your hotel room. -Bedside wall outlets, and charging USB ports not working -Bed frames and boxspring, torn ripped hanging underneath -Hotel desk top stained, dirty, chipped, entire cabinetry, needs to be cleaned of stains, faded, paint -11th floor room has sliding glass door with no safety locks open to the balcony and open air. Assuming it’s the same for every room of 18 floors -50 yards from the major highways or traffic noise does not stop until the wee hours of the morning -Missing decorative pictures on the wall, leaving just bear wall anchors, and stains -Super cheap desk chair that wobbles and barely holds you up -Abominable and slow restaurant service, -Dirty couches in lobby that make you think twice about sitting on them -Broken lobby bathroom closed, have to go to another floor below or above to use the bathroom on the lobby level -No amenities bar in lobby for basic hotel toiletry needs such as shaving cream, dental floss, razors, etc. -Insects in room, small spiders on two separate occasions I had to kill -Intensely small bathroom with very small toilet, where when you sit down, you feel like your inches from the opposing wall.
The Review: OK, so what do I say here. I was part of a group in town for the Ion Joint Navigation Conference (JNC) I didn’t have any say in choosing this place because it was booked last minute and the only place still available that gave a discount off the conference fee. It’s hands-down one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at on the road in a very long time. I travel regularly with my work, so i’m trying to be candid without exaggerating.
I struggle to find a single redeeming quality about this place. Everything seems about 20 years overdue for a facelift, small and outdated/rundown from the time you walk in the front door and check in through the dated sad elevators all the way up to your room. The thoughts start creeping in about whether or not you should’ve booked this place. You definitely should not have. I wish I had more space to post the rest of the review but I'm character limited. There is so so much more.
In summary, I’ve decided that it’s the kind of place that you could stand in the middle of the hotel room and blindfold yourself, spin yourself around a few times with your finger pointed outward, and when you stop, no matter which direction your finger was pointing at, there’s a greater probability that whatever it is that you’re pointing at needs to be fixed or redone because it’s dilapidated, then the probability that the thing you’re pointing at is actually normal...
Read moreRecently stayed at the hotel riverfront Cincinnati for a trip we take every year. We arrived and check in was decent only had 1 elevator working. We got to our room in which we booked 2 queen size beds and got 2 full size beds, water in our room they provided in bottles we open and not sealed properly bathroom was dirty had hair on our towels. Light switches and outlets were not working. Had another guest in our group coming the next day foe a stay and their system went down, I get it stuff happens that is out of their control, yet when we went to check them in the staff was very stand offish, we had to fill out a paper, they took copies of their ID and credit card, gave us the room number, and put it down on a key envelope and the paperwork that was filled out with their information on it, we asked if we were good to go since we had dinner reservations and not run up to the room then, they said that is fine were checked in and her room will be there for us to move into when we return. We returned later that evening after our plans and went to the front desk gave the room number we were given, have a member of the staff take us up there to let them in and we would have walked into another couples room had they not had the bolt locked, they gave away the room and they almost gave away the last room in the hotel, mind you the reservations for these 2 hotel rooms were booked back in Jan. The manager behind the desk told us that our complaint was mut point as we should have went up to the room and it would have not been given away. They had to have someone take people to their rooms without checking IDs just going off room numbers given. The gentleman that took us up to the room was demanding a room number in a crowded elevator as if we want to give a room number out to everyone knowing that all they have to do is tell them a room number and they would be let in. Yes I had a key to my room but the other person with us did not and was told if you don't want someone to assist you leave your room unlocked if you feel comfortable doing so, with one elevator working in the whole hotel with 18 floors we were going down to the lobby and ended up on the 18th floor to have to go all the way back down because someone hit the button. They should have stopped Checking people in and called it until their system was back open. Overall a terrible experience 1st and last time I will stay there. That and they were very willing to give my information over the phone to someone just by having my 1st and last name and when I was staying there so anyone could have called to confirm I was staying at that location without any hesitation that could have been someone with Ill Intentions,...
