Wasn't too thrilled about this place. Sold out means people packed from the stage to the main entrances. I've never seen a place that small allow so many people in. Most concert venues I've been to will have extra room to be able to leave or enter or not sell that many tickets. The main ladies bathroom had three stalls and no working water faucets. Can't tell you if there's extra bathrooms anywhere. The main band's merch stand was in a closed off entrance and the line was mixed in with people trying to get to the bathroom, bar, or preferring to stand in the bar area instead of going to the open area. The acoustics are horrible for metal band's and I'm not sure if the sound guy either didn't care to make the sound right for the small venue. (I've seen some sound guys have the music so loud that everything sound muddled in small places and other sound guys make everything crisp and clear) Hard to see anything from the back if you're average height. Definitely a place where if you're not up front or at the front of the higher elevation that you're out of luck. It got unbearably hot towards the end of the show and ended up in leaving sooner than planned because of it. Really wished there was a re-entry policy because I can easily see some people getting dehydrated over how hot it got and how hard it is to get to the bar area to get any water. I only went here because the band touring didn't have many close dates to my state and I know not to...
Read moreSome people might describe Madison Live as small or intimate. They are not wrong with this description. But I prefer to put it this way. Do you like to go to venues that are easy to find and have sufficent parking. Do you enjoy drink prices that are very reasonable. How about staff that seem to enjoy their jobs and are eager to help if needed. Then there is the fact that you are up close and personal with the artists. Look I could keep going....just go check it out you won't be disappointed. I hope this was helpful...
Read moreI'm not sure if was all part of the "old timey" feel not having AC with roughly 700 people in the room or what. It was miserable, even Mr. Cho asked about the AC. Not to mention the smell of stale pot and mildew. The chairs were crammed together in such a manner that even small people were having trouble sitting in their chair. Let's talk about chairs.... Wood pews would've been more comfortable. Horrible experience, Henry Cho was excellent despite the...
