Baker-Hunt Art & Cultural Center — Attraction in Covington

Baker Hunt offers so many diverse classes to explore creativity .I took the Intermediate Handbuilding Ceramics class in both the summer and fall sessions in 2023. I learned a lot and had fun.. But I must cast light to a very negative experience in the hopes that it will not happen to anyone else. I created a 2 faced jack o lantern. I painted it. When ready for pick up it was nowhere to be found, I contacted the center and the instructor, inquiries were made, no one had an explanation. It takes a very long time to create a piece and for it "disappear" is unacceptable and extremely disappointing. I overall found the center to be complacent. So everyone, create at your own risk....

I would give Baker Hunt 1,000,000 stars if I could!! My kids have taken art classes here since they were little. I have taken some classes myself which were all very enjoyable, as well as many others within my extended family for decades now. My teenage son has been taking BH culinary classes for over 4 years now and he loves them! Such a beautiful atmosphere and the instructors are all fantastic. Know that at summer camp, they may likely show a full length movie and TV shows during the day-totally unrelated to the curriculum. It’s a 6 hour day, and 1/3 of the day may be the kids watching screens. Sad. Even after I raised concern, they kept right on doing it. And it was gorgeous outside!
