I don’t even know where to begin. I called the restaurant at 8:15 ( they close at 9 ) to order my food the man rushes me on the phone to finish ordering. I finish ordering , not even 8-10 minutes later he’s calling my phone harassing me to come pick up my food. I’m like ok , I will be there. I get there two men are waiting for me at the counter. I walk up to the counter asking the gentleman if he was the one I spoke to on the phone he says yes. I say, you spoke to me rudely and I didn’t appreciate it. He bluntly saying “ Yeah ok, Whatever 24.75 “ I say excuse me?? He proceeds with still saying the total and I say , I don’t want the food anymore because you aren’t making me feel comfortable. I proceed to walk away and he starts to literally stare at me with death eyes and makes subtly movements with his hands. At this point I am scared for my life, So i rush back over and pay for my food and get the hell out of there. I left literally sobbing and seeing two men leave the building high fiving eachother like they’re proud of the job they did. Didn’t even bother to eat the food i was given, I disputed the charge. As a women in this world , it’s hard to deal with men like this. That treat women with such disrespect. I WILL NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS EVER AGAIN. I hope this reaches the targeted audience. Please , Please. Stay Away!!!

We ordered our take out by phone using their website menu. We arrived 25 minutes later to find what they charge you is not what their prices are on "Their" website. The employee denied that it was their website. The address is correct for the business, the name is correct, the phone number is correct but their prices are not. You can expect to pay 25% to 50% higher for your order than what is reflected on the website. Now to the food. It was good not great. It was not the quantity you would expect for the prices. I ordered a combination meal of chicken teriyaki, sweat & sour chicken and (4 pc) gyoza. The price was $18.45 not $14.99 as advertised. There was very little chicken teriyaki but a lot of rice...mostly rice. I would estimate a thin sliced single chicken breast. Typical salad you get with teriyaki. We also ordered a chicken yakisoba. Advertised price $9.99. Actual price $14.11. The atmosphere. The employee was almost combative when questioned about the discrepancy of their pricing. Flatly denying it is their website. If this is not your website then contact Google and have it taken down. Or better yet, update it to reflect your current pricing. We will never be spending our money at this restaurant.

It really is the best teriyaki in town. Used to be a big Kami Teriyaki fan for a LONG time, but they must've changed chefs or management, because it's not as good as it used to be. This place does have long lines. Even when I ordered for pickup, there were 10 others ahead of me in line picking up call-in orders as well. I was disappointed that they didn't have egg rolls the night I went. So, I got a #19 instead, which come with gyoza. It wasn't until I got home that I realized they forgot the gyoza (I had a feeling I should have checked before leaving, but the bag was already tied and knotted). I called and they said they would make it right next time I went in. The General Tsao's chicken is really, really good, as others have claimed. The beef was unlike any other beef teriyaki I've ever had... it actually looked and tasted like beef.

ZERO STARS. There needs to be a zero star option. PLEASE READ! DO NOT EAT HERE, GO TO SUNNY TERIYAKI DOWN IN AUBURN!!

After spending 18$ and tipping $5 I Was given over cooked food that was rock hard and when going back just asking for a fresh replacement with the untouched food that was NOT eatable. I Was cut off and interrupted multiple times and then was told “ we won’t be doing this for you again.” ??? You won’t be serving quality food to your customers? And you won’t be replacing a order that was over cooked? Well I wont be returning! Myself being in the food industry for over 7 years, I would NEVER serve food I wouldn’t want to eat my self. It’s disrespectful and and down right HORRIBLE customer service. NOT a way to grow nor run a business!

Detailed explaination: ( if your the owner please read)

Ate here for the first time few weeks ago due to the good ratings they had, Food was decent not the best but not the worst. Ordered regular teriyaki. My wife and I decided to give it a 2nd go and try the Sweet and Sour chicken instead tonight, for our 2nd visit. it being one of our favorite dishes. And very hard to mess up may I add.. I exspected nothing but a good dinner.

My wife had just worked a 12 hour shift so I called and ordered ahead so I was home with dinner when she arrived. The chicken had been over cooked so the batter had crisped up so much they were just hard Little Rock’s of chicken. I called to just have the dish replaced. I just wanted food my wife and I could eat so we could get to bed for another long day tomorrow. I said i wanted to bring it back and show them 1 because I am an honest person and do not try to get free food. And 2 wanted him to see how over cooked it was, I know he wouldn’t of aten it! So why would you serve that to a customer you would want to have Their return business..? He insisted I didn’t bring the food back and told me “ we will do this today but won’t be doing this again.” (I assume he didn’t want me bringing it back in and having all the other customers see... ) What do you mean won’t be doing this again? You won’t be making the customer happy by providing quality food that is advertised on the menu because that’s the whole reason your even in business? To SERVE with quality and respect? If you don’t do that then customers will not return.

So then I had to drive back, 15 min round trip, while my wife is waiting at home, and should of already been eating... When I walk in he says “ you still brought it back huh?” I started saying “ yes because I want you to see how over cooked this is and that I’m not the type of person to try and get free food.” He didn’t even let me finish my sentence, smirked while he turned around and grabbed the new dish and handed it to me and said have a good night. The worst service I’ve ever received from a ‘mom and pop’ business. That’s usually where I receive the best Customer service, my self working for a family owned business. I highly cherish my respect and love for my community and customers and completely felt the opposite from Covington Teriyaki. We used to go to SUNNY TERIYAKI in down town auburn next to the Fred Myers. But since moving up the hill was trying to find a new ‘home’ teriyaki place for us. But we will be taking the extra ten min commute to go back to SUNNY TERIYAKI, who always provided quality food and service. As I left I said I will be leaving a review based on your customer service, he replied “thank you” instead of making sure I left satisfied. Felt very disrespected.

Hope this is read by the owners. The young Asian male who works the front needs to be spoken with about customer satisfaction and not serving food he wouldnt personally consume. Also listening to the customers because the customer is always right. Thank you for your time in reading this.

I will never be returning to Covington Teriyaki. Hope this helped you choose to go...
