New China — Restaurant in Covington

If I could give it ZERO stars I would. I used to eat here maybe once or twice every other month and I’ve never had an issue, however yesterday 6/21, definitely was my LAST time being a customer. My mother wanted some house fried rice but made a specific way...they confirmed the order and even called back to make sure of it and it was still made wrong , ok cool no biggie can you guys remake it...the lady swears to my mom it was made right so my mom showed her it wasn’t. The lady was clearly agitated by what I don’t know but she begins getting loud and rude with my mom in front of the whole restaurant arguing because at this point my mom just wants her money back and my mother has heart problems so that was a lot of unnecessary stress on her. You don’t talk to your customers any kind of way because you’re angry already and especially for a mistake that YOU made. Customer service is key, and that was what you lacked. The young lady was sweet and apologized but that older lady doesn’t need to be at the register with the attitudes...

I went to this spot yesterday-8/12/25 evening and ordered the sweet and sour chicken but got shrimp fried rice instead of white rice. The gentleman i spoke with was very pleasant and took time to help me. I specifically told him that I have gotten the chicken crispy but yet hard from places. He was adamant about me trying the chicken before I left to let him know if it was of my liking and it was. Crispy but not hard then he recommended to have chicken in paper container than put in plastic since I had gotten the 2 large to avoid sweating since I was particular with the chicken. The shrimp fried rice was delicious. My only critique since I didn't get to tell him there because I didn't try the sweet and sour sauce there, is that it wasn't tasty and the consistency was different from what I'm used to. This place has poor customer service the Lady Owner rude, and nasty to customers. I was spending good money at this location for years they made the mistake of leaving food out my order, so I told her I would come back but I need my food remade because it would be cold if I returned and then had to leave to go back home. She then tells me you can come back and get what was left out, but the food stays hot an hour. I said no it doesn't it took me 20min to get home and 20min to come back and another 20 min to get home again. Anyone that knows math knows that an hour right. So she hangs up on me I call back I said the phone was disconnected she says all rude and nasty you can come get your money back I'm not making no food over and hangs up again. Well ok she cares nothing about customer service and as I'm exiting I'm happy I got a refund because there's a roach crawling on her table, I'll let the next customer see it...
