Waffle House — Restaurant in Covington

We stopped there for lunch after church today. The crew was extremely noisy talking among themselves and were very rough with the dishes creating a very noisy environment. One server started cleaning a table for us only to stop halfway through and leave us standing and waiting. Finally another table opened up and was cleaned for us. I ordered cheese eggs with grits and soft bacon. I was first presented with sausage which I refused and again requested soft bacon only to receive almost burned bacon. My eggs were cold to the point the cheese was not melted. My daughter ordered a sandwich plate and requested grilled onions on the sandwich. She had to send that back for the onions to be added. My husband had to ask twice for coffee creamer and jelly for his toast. Before the remodel, this was our favorite place to stop after church, but after this experience, we will not visit this...

Says they are hiring on indeed, but when my fiancé went in for an interview, he was told to come back the next day with his bank information for a 5 hour training shift. Once he got there for said shift, they told him they already had to many people in orientation and they would get back with him in 2 WEEKS. they wasted our time & GAS. (I work overnight so he had to pick me up bring me home and then go back to Waffle House) What was the point in telling him to come back in the requested uniform at 8 AM? It makes no sense. Should have just told him then. We’ve been Beyond stressed out & just knowing that he at lest had a job took some of that stress off. Waffle House this is a Huge...

I try to find one good thing about a place but literally I have to say besides the kindness of one waitress there was none. I had the steak breakfast. The egg was squishy and was leaking multiple ounces of oil. The steak that I ordered medium well kept coming back chewy and bland. It was also cover and dripping with oil. The only decent thing on the plate was my cheese grits. But who can mess that up. I do feel that maybe if it was earlier in their shift then I maybe the food would have been better. However, At the end of the day, customer service is priority and it was not it during that time. I love some of the staff personally but as a restaurant choice it just didn't hit that...
