In May 26, 2023 at 6:01 pm, My granddaughter and I were traveling and stopped in at this Smoothie King location to get smoothie bowls. It was my granddaughter’s first time getting one as I have had several. We walked in and no one greeted us but was busy working on an order. Finally a short black female asked if I was ready to order. I placed my order for a 20 oz smoothie and 2 smoothie bowls. The Hispanic lady (with glasses) told me that the Açaí base was frozen but they can use a dragon fruit type base. I agreed so we continued with the order. I don’t know if this other black female (high bushy ponytail with swirl down edges and had either ear pods or hearing aids in her ear) was new but she started making our bowls and was barely putting the toppings in. She was moving slow as molasses but would go and grin with the guy in the back. I asked if she could put more toppings on because I’ve had several of these bowls and know how they are supposed to be made and look. The toppings barely touched half of the bowl and the rim. If I’m going to pay $12 for a bowl I want to eat my $12 worth. The Hispanic lady knew she wasn’t making it right and said that they would make it over but I told her to just add the toppings that should be on there on top of what she already had. Needless to say my first time there was not the best. I will NOT be going in that store again. The lady making the bowls was not working with excellence. She barely made the bowls as required. She needs more training on how to make the bowls and definitely needs more customer service training. She poured tons of honey on my granddaughter’s bowl and I know she did it on purpose because I asked that she makes it correctly. Hopefully the franchise owners will look into the staff they hire. But, some of these young people, they just do not practice or are not taught good customer service. I try to order ahead to avoid any delays and maintain social distancing. I placed my order and arrived at the designated time, the guy withthe twist in his hair actually had my smoothie in his hand, looked at me, placed it in a freezer and went to the sink and started to fill a picture with water. He never said Hi, can I help you or anything. The young lady that was preparing someone else's order came over and tried to make up for it and I appreciated that, but when will these places ensure better customer service. This is a splurge item, not something I need. With service like that, it makes you not want to come back, or only come when certain people...
Read moreI walked in and politely said to the young lady behind the counter "hello I'm with doordash and I'm here to pick up an order for so" and she looked up at me , looked back down at what she was doing, and never said a word. so I said okay I just wanted to let y'all know I'm here and I sat down After about 5 minutes I noticed there was a rack over by the register and there were some orders sitting on it. Well of course, among them was the order I was looking for so the girl let me sit there for 5 minutes knowing exactly what I was there for just because I didn't see the rack I guess. I guess it was punishment. I'd rather believe that then to believe what it felt like, which is racism and sexism. Anyway, I found their manners leave a little to be desired.
