Town House Cafe — Restaurant in Covington

I really wanted to enjoy this Black owned business but sadly I did not. Must’ve arrived 2 minutes too late and missed breakfast as the waitress handed me a lunch menu. I placed my order for chicken fried steak as the gentleman who walked in at the EXACT SAME TIME I DID was handed a hot plate of breakfast (which I wasn’t offered). I got my sweet tea which was Great! Chicken fried steak was not flavorful At All (gravy n onions added Nothing) peas bland. I asked what time breakfast ended and was told noon (it was 12:11)

I clearly ordered the wrong item. Don’t know if I will return to order any more. It’s nice to see they take care of their regulars, as a new customer it would’ve been nice to be told lunch was being served, and perhaps the waitress make a suggestion on the best lunch menu items, rather than 2 people asking me 3x in 2 minutes if I’m ready...

Lunch time and I didn't feel like fast food. I had read the reviews here a couple of months ago stating how good the burgers were so I'd figure I'd try em out. This wasnt my first time in this establishment but first time getting something to eat. It took the staff about 12 min to cook my two burgers (1 cheese and 1 without). The burgers are juicy. If you're a big guy you'll prolly need a double. I totally underestimated the fries. They were big like steak fries and I only picked up one ranch. Should've got too. I even talked to whom I think was the founder/manager. Real nice guy. I have a real soft spot talking to our seniors in our community. Good bless them.

Back to the food. It was good! I'll come back and get it again and also get an extra ranch. And next time I'll ask for a menu 😅😅. Keep up...

Adorable place set back in time. I had this place on my list for a while and I decided to go there for lunch. I found out that they close at 4pm and it was almost 3pm. Luckily I still had time to get a bite. They even took someone in for a sit down meal around 3:45pm. I noticed they do alot of take out orders as well. I had a bacon Cheeseburger deluxe and a sweet tea and all was delicious. The restaurant is offset from the town center but still in it so the views are limited. This allows for exploring the town center before or after eating. I think the place is family run and the service is great, I plan to go back and try...
