I can’t say enough good things about this place. As huge fans of the Vampire Diaries and The Originals, my husband and I visited Covington 4 years ago for our anniversary trip. We didn’t know how much we would fall in love with it. We now go back once a year to re-live our favorite tv show. The Alley shop is what holds the dearest place in our hearts. Cindy who runs the shop is the kindest woman and she has the BEST fan stories as well as a huge collection of memorabilia. She really goes out of her way to create a space where fans can geek out, feel seen and buy the best souvenirs. I have several glass drinking cups from her shop that are now my favorite to use. Her shop is just below the Mystic Grill which makes it even cooler. Cindy answers all and any questions you could have and can tell you the coolest stories from days she spent watching the cast film, as well as give the best tips for self-guided tours! I love this town, my husband loves this town, and we are obsessed with our Vampire Diaries community at The Alley Shop! This is my 4th or 5th trip to Mystic Falls. I used to take my daughter or meet my bestie there. Now that my little one is in college, my niece has found the show (I helped lol) and she was dying to see It. We drove a very long way to get there and before we even checked into our room, we went to the Alley Shop. There is a good vibe and welcoming feeling when u cross that threshold into the very clean, very well stocked shop under the stairs! This is the place to go to have ur own little piece of Mystic Falls. Did I mention the museum? There is NO where else in the world you can go to be near these memorable costumes.
