I left a Review a few months ago, but have to edit today again… I ordered here a calzone and let me tell you! That thing was by far the most beautiful and best tasting calzone I’ve ever seen! I had to ask who made it, because all my friends at the table had to take pictures of it how perfect it was made! They told me that the GM made it for me! Everyone that I showed that picture, wants to come back just to get calzones here! Best restaurant I’ve ever been! Amazing service, friendly staff, and beautiful and clean surroundings! Perfectly organized and every single time a great experience! (Old review) Went to amici with my friends, we wear able to sit outside which was beautiful! They had lights outside and a gorgeous atmosphere. The food was amazing and fast. But the cherry on top was our server. I think her name was rachel with long blond hair. Her friendly and professional personality made our night beyond perfect! She gave great advice to the food and drink menu! 12/10 would recommend that place! We looking forward to come back and sit with her!

Driving from Atlanta to Augusta this has become our spot for pizza and appetizers. Covington has that small town vibe with great options ( much better than Atlanta ). Our first time we have an amazing experience with an amazing waitress. She was very attentive and kept our drinks full and table cleared. The second time not so much. We were sad we didn’t get her back. The second time we practically had to beg for service. We saw our previous waitress and she acknowledged us and spoke. That was refreshing. I would say definitely will not give up on this quaint little pizza spot with a community vibe. They also have live music which reminds me a bit of Nashville, where I live. Will be back!

Tea tadte like water. Appetizer buffalo chicken gar chee mar- came out with average time, but was lukewarm at most. Great flavor. Ordered blue cheese with it, and it was very lumpy, but flavorful. It came out on 1 plate, and waitress did not bring two separate plates for us to split it. We ate over paper towels. Pizza- the Works. Pizza had no flavor. As shown in picture, all the juices left in the pan. So, it was watery from the vegetables, and flavorless. I took pictures of the plates, the pizza was served in the middle and the plates were old pizza pans. Pizza was floppy, not crispy. Will come back, but not for pizza.

Terrible terrible service. We waited forever to be seated (we even called ahead of time and was ensured there was “no wait” and when we got to the door the person who was standing at the host stand walked away), waited forever for my wine/ our food, had to get up and request it on top of hunt down our waitress down every time we needed something including trying to pay her at the end of the night. On top of that she only charged half of my meal resulting in her having to swipe my card TWICE. When asked how she will fix it she replied with an attitude that “it was already fixed.”I ONLY tipped because I believe in karma. She never came to check on our table and could have at the very LEAST brought our starters and KIDS meals. I mean that’s the point of a “STARTER”, no?? Our kids were starving and restless. Me, my kids, my 5 month pregnant sister and her toddler, stood by FAMISHED as we watched others come in AFTER us, be seated IMMEDIATELY and were served their food/alcoholic beverages BEFORE us. Food was cold/stale tasting, my “calamari” was more fried banana peppers than anything else, the sauce on my tortellini tasted like it came from a can and the sauce was basically non existent. Oh yea! My son threw up his entire meal as SOON as we walked outside. Which consisted of a simple grilled cheese and fries. There are some very biased employees that work here and it’s noticeable. There were very few who offered to help me when they saw me standing at the bar waiting for assistance. The one girl who did seat us was very pleasant. Take my advice and do not overlook the low reviews, because there’s DEFINITELY truth in them! The business owner keeps flagging my review because they know it’s true. They are also editing high reviews to appear “new” so they float to the top but when you READ, you can see the owners response was from 3 months ago. So either they have fake accounts or are having their own people make fake reviews. And make sure you ask to see their health code score. So bottom line here is, if you don’t mind wasting your time and money to receive subpar food and HORRIFIC customer service then folks Amici’s is your place! First and LAST time...

If I could give this place a zero, I would. 3/17/18, arrived at 6:00 pm, zero wait, not busy at all. Order our food and it takes forever to even get our drinks. We were basically abandoned with no one checking on us for an hour. At 7 pm we ask about our food and are told that it’s going to be another 10 minutes because “the pizza is backed up” according to the waitress. We ask to speak to a manager when our food comes and the rudest woman I’ve ever encountered in customer service comes out, visibly annoyed that we’re complaining and proceeds to argue with us that this is “normal” and that they are “busy” instead of apologizing (as I look around at the empty restaurant). Plus she’s aggressively arguing with me in front of my kids, not cool. This is after the waitress says the pizza is baked up btw, the manager says it’s not backed up that this is normal and I quote “you have your food now so what do you want me to do??”. She’s an embarrassment to your restaurant and I’m honestly shocked that she somehow made it to the role of manager. We ended up leaving and not eating the food. The worst part is that we only went there because the Irish pub on the square had an hour and 15 minute wait time and they actually called us while we were still waiting on our food at Amicis to tell us our table was ready. I think the manager was a tad confused on what it means to be “busy” in a restaurant on a Friday night. This entire exchange could have been avoided had the manager come out and apologized or even updated us on the fact that the food was delayed. I said this to the manager and she literally said “what is there to update you on?” Brunette woman, did not get her name (obviously because she has zero customer service skills) she should not be representing your restaurant in any capacity and needs serious customer service training. Our family never complains, we understand places being truly busy and we are fine as long as someone comes and let’s us know and apologizes. I used to tell all of my visiting family and friends they should come to amicis but I’m telling you this is one experience that has ensured that my family will never return....

We went here because the other places in town(Covington) had long wait times. Wasn't the best experience. They weren't near as busy as the other options in the town square and we didn't check yelp before going - our mistake. We waited at the door to be seated (plenty of seating available) the servers just kind of looked at us from the bar area for a few minutes before they figured out who would seat us. After an odd amount of time we were finally greeted and offered a table. We ordered an app right away - the garlic cheese bread option: bread was cooked ok the cheese was not completely melted and the Italian seasoning blend had lots of uncooked garlic mixed in. We ordered a beefeater pizza and a pesto pasta dish add chicken. The pasta dish came with a house salad. We had to catch the waitress after about 15 minutes post ordering to ask if the salad would come before the meal (which is common dining practice) the waitress went to check, came back and said it'll be out soon. We looked around and saw that multiple tables had received their main plates and then their salads. 🤦 After about 10 more minutes the salad came. (Had you go to the bar to ask for silverware and napkins) About 20 minutes after that, the main courses came. Pasta presented as if it was sitting in the widow for a while - mildly warm and dry. Don't recommend. The pizza was okay. Dough wasn't fully cooked flavor was okay, toppings were as ordered.. I spent 12 years in the food service industry in my 20s and if I had to guess, our waitress was young and seemed new to the service industry. Didn't seem like they had any leadership on-site running operations. As we were finishing we could see a new shift coming in and a new server came through and filled almost every tables drinks, the only time we had been offered that. Wasn't the worst time we've had in a restaurant but definitely was not a great time. Maybe night shift...
