Staff was very rude and unfriendly. We hosted my niece’s birthday gathering here before COVID regulations back in February. As we were all entering and placing gifts and balloons down on booths and getting settled waiting for all my niece’s friends to arrive, we were rudely interrupted by a staff member demanding to know were we purchasing anything or we needed to leave. As we were the only Black group in the establishment, I was dumbfounded to be asked such as question since Scoops is a such a small place to gather of course the only reason we chose there was to obviously buy ice cream. After we answered yes the staff member then proceed to place the rope dividers for the line closer to our tables limiting our space. And the ordering process for our group of around 20 was chaotic although it was all on one check. We all ordered, received our ice cream, but told not to eat until we had walked and showed the cashier proof of what we received to be rang up. All and all the kids were too young to notice the tension and rudeness of it all but the adults were pretty upset to be treated such when spending almost over $200 on plain ice cream. Read moreAfter driving five hours to get to Covington Georgia I decided to stop in for a late night treat because I have been to scoops before a couple of months ago and they were really good. Tonight I go in and I was completely disrespected and ignored. Nick was the first person to see me walk in & left me standing in front of him without saying a word for over 10 minutes. Bailey who is the other server saw me as well & walked past me to the candy to start cleaning the trays out while sticking her hand in it and eating the leftovers that were still in the tray. Finally after she was done eating the candy, she asked me if I needed help with anything. I told her that I have been ignored for 10 minutes and yes I would like to order ice cream please. She looked at me and smiled and said “oh I didn’t see you”. Immediately Mel (the shift supervisor) was the only one that helped me, asked what was wrong, and she was the only one to apologize to me. First time visiting with family was nothing like the experience I had tonight. Every employee did not smile or acknowledge me at all, I won’t be back. As someone who works in customer service, I always treat customers how I want...
Read more👨👧 My daughter, Shiloh Grace took me here for our first Father's Day celebration in June of Twenty Nineteen.
🎂I would return the favor on her second birthday a month later (Born Seven Seventeen Seventeen).
💯It was great times both times. They have quite an eclectic collection of candies, treats, fixins' and ice creams.
🍌🍦She had the Banana Pudding ice cream scoop both times and I treated myself to Butter Pecan. Both times as well.
💺The place is great for a quick cone and even better for spending the day with your daughter and taking time to enjoy it on their fantastic front porch equipped with 4 bright yellow Rocking Chairs and perfectly placed to view the Covington Square's comings and goings.
🏁If you are in town to tour the Hollywood of the South, most famous for the Dukes of Hazzard TV series. And most recently, The Vampire Diaries televisions show.
💵Its worth the few bucks and few hours to take time to stop by and get served up some Scoops.
