I've been wanting to go to an escape room for over 3 years. My son finally was able to keep a secret and surprised me with a trip to the Clock Tower Escape, for my birthday. I had soooo much fun spending that time with him. It wasn't like I imagined because there was just 3 rooms (1 small room each for our entry into the 2 main room), but OMG, it was well put together and quite challenging. A little overwhelmed at first trying to figure out how to get started and just putting things together, but we were able to get at least 90% completed on our own without the other 10% assistance from the staff who offered clues to help us escape. In the end, we made it. I had a great time with my best friend, (my son) and it was truly a great experience. I would recommend 2 players being enough in this room, for beginners, because if you have any type of OCD issues, you will lose it if there are too many people moving about and rumbling through the cluesđ. Friendly and inviting staff. Definitely going to revisit to tackle the other room and hopefully with the experience now, we'll be able to get out 100% on our own.đ Bonus part, hidden in Covington,GA approximately 7 miles from our home...never...
Read moreThe clock tower escape room is the epitome of a money grab. To begin, based on the marketing, youâre led to believe itâs in the clock tower. While near, itâs not in it and that feels misleading. Secondly, you start in a store, then are led to around the corner, then end in the store. Why not just start around the corner? Thirdly, the room itself did not have the air conditioning turned on until we had to ask. Georgia in June is hot. Putting 8 people (5 of which were strangers) in one space without AC is unacceptable. The clues were rudimentary and altogether the room was not incredibly well taken care of. We also asked for clues at one point and were ignored for a couple of minutes which led us to believe we had run out of clues. Ultimately I believe it was a walkie talkie issue, but regardless, that certainly took away from the...
Read moreLow budget and unprofessional. As a small business you would expect more prompt and appropriate interactions with the workers. The email stated to be there 15 minutes prior.. the door said 10 minutes. After waiting outside for an extended period of time we were allowed inside. We were expected to call or knock on the door when we arrived when we were told we would be met outside. While some people may have dry humor, It comes off as offensive and aggressive when dealing with guests. Since you only have one room to escape, 10 people is too many to move around and communicate. Props in the game could have been updated and investment in more creative clues would have made the experience better. This is the only escape room in town that is vampire diaries themed so the expectations...
