Stopped visiting this location months ago due to terrible service, long wait, and inconsistent food quality. Decided to give them another shot in the hopes things had improved over the course of the last several months. Unfortunately, the service has gotten even worse. Staff are rude and have zero sense of urgency. I walked in and there were 3 people in line in front of me to order. After waiting in line for 16 minutes and watching the staff be somewhat rude to and barely acknowledge every customer in front of me it was my turn to order. I'm told by the staff I can no longer order what I have always ordered for several years a (chicken and steak quesadilla to go, with half portions of each). "We don't allow half portions any more", me: "I guess just steak then, please", The staff member rolled their eyes, appearing to be frustrated by my request and put my quesadilla to the side as the press was in use. I then proceed to wait in line for an additional 6 minutes while another staff member working the register tried to figure out how to ring out the customer in front of me. Once being run out, the customer in front of me asked if they can have some dressing for their salad they just purchased, to which the individual working the register told her "we don't have any dressings". (Side note: Who sells a salad to a customer without dressing? If you don't have dressing, you need to tell customers that up front when they order the salad). The customer in line directly behind me is seeing all of these events occur and leans into me and says, "what's going on here, I'm getting very bad vibes from this place". I told him: "I'm not sure, I'm feeling the same way". I thought about walking out and then finally, my quesadilla was done cooking and the assisting employee ask if I want sour cream, I say: "yes, can I also please have a side of guacamole?, "we don't have any guacamole" (internally, Im thinking: Of course you don't.) I write this review not because I want to get anyone in trouble, I know it's tough times out there and I wouldn't want to see anyone lose their job, but this place needs to do some serious customer service training with their staff if they want to stay in business. There are far too many alternative restaurant options in the area that don't take 20 minutes out of your day, provide mediocre food, and make you feel as if you have inconvenienced the employees by being present...
Read moreHalf of my to-go order was ready and half was not, so when the last entree was made over 25 minutes later the first half was stone cold. All of my on the side items were missing, the burrito was not completely wrapped, and every container had queso on the sides or bottom. No napkins were included. The ingredients ranged from 'probably reheated from two days ago' to outright stale. We found jalapeño stems in all three entrees.
This location used to put queso in a separate container from the nacho entree toppings but did not this time, so when I asked where the queso was the employee opened the bag, grabbed the nacho toppings and said "Boom, there's your cheese". They treated me like I was trying to scam them out of something.
On top of this they informed me that they were out of cookies and brownies (since I ordered a cookie) and when I asked what they wanted to do about the charge the employee said "I guess we'll have to refund it..." and then started ringing out other customers. A couple of minutes later they asked why I was still there. When I reminded them about the refund they went to talk to a manager but then found a tray of brownies and cut me one while only wearing a glove on one hand.
You know how at times you know there is no point in mentioning a problem at a restaurant because the staff obviously won't care? That is this location precisely, and not just off of this order. When I got the order I was already uncomfortable that the order was big and people were going to be waiting. I’ve only been to qdoba maybe twice in my life so I don’t know all the orders. Anyway the lady who was making the food, her name is Danielle and she is the manager apparently. I had asked for a burrito and thought it was with a tortilla and it was for a bowl and so she had to throw away the tortilla and she rolled her eyes when she did it. I said I’m sorry because I didn’t want to be a hassle. I was kind of stumbling over the order a bit and she the stated “That’s why I don’t like working with you people, because now I have a line all the way to the door.”.. and I was like “well this is what the customer ordered” The cashier, her name is Ashley so sweet to me I had to thank her for being nice. Anyways I sent an email to corporate since she is the manager and hopefully will hear back soon. I won’t stop until I get feedback.
