Decided to get some Five Guys to satisfy my craving for a good burger & fries, unfortunately this was the 1st time I was left disappointed & wishing I had gone somewhere else for something to eat. Five Guys does not have a selection of cheese's to choose from, they don't even have Cheddar, they only have American Cheese. What kind of Burger place is this? What is a Cheese Burger w/o Cheddar Cheese!!!? The French Fries tasted old, not fresh from the fryer, but fries that had been sitting for a few mins. There was no flavor at all to the Burger except for the disappointing taste of the American Cheese that reminded U of Velveeta Cheese or Gov't Cheese!. My Burger was extremely soggy to the point it was like someone had soaked it in water & then wrapped it up & served it. They asked me if I wanted a Fountain Drink?? with the Coronavirus going on, the last thing that I want is a Fountain drink!!, they then asked me if I wanted a Shake which sounded good until observing the price🙄. Almost $6 for a Shake that was average size! Ice Cream has gone up alot & although U get ur choice of toppings $6 for an average size Shake is a lil' steep. I might be able to justify it if it were a homemade Ice Cream Shake. They had 8 tables available to sit at in the whole place, because of their so called "Social Distancing" 🙄, but they were not strict at all with wearing Face Mask as I witnessed a customer with his wife or girlfriend not wearing 1 & telling his wife or girlfriend that they didn't need them!! Really makes U feel safe eating out, but these are the places receiving a bulk of Stimulus money to help them🙄. Five Guys needs to reevaluate their quality of food & service or they could see themselves in the same boat as another popular Burger chain known for making their famous...
Read moreIf there was a way to give this location less than 1 star, I'd do it. I love Five Guys. Their overall reputation and awards are well justified. The Creve Coeur location is failing them. I showed up at 1145. I waited about 3 minutes for the employees to finish their personal conversations before greeting me. My very simple order of one burger and one order of fries seemed to be an annoyance to every visible staff member. During my wait, a line had formed behind me. The new customers all had similar experiences to the one described above. THEN came the 22 minute wait for a cheeseburger and fries. During my wait, I witnessed an employee who has absolutely no business working the fryer, prepare ONE order of fries at a time. At noon. During a rush. One order dropped at a time. Salted. Put in a cup. Slowly put in a bag. Slowly sealed. The orders were not coming out in any discernable system. When one of the Uber Delivery Drivers had the nerve to ask how long his order was going to take, the absurdly under-qualified employee working the fryer and the pick-up window yelled at him. "You didn't come up here. That's why it takes longer!" The largely absent manager had clearly and loudly notified the employee of the order's arrival. The entire lobby heard it. Regardless, the employee's reaction would have been inappropriate in any scenario. Had I been the Uber Driver, I would be petitioning Uber right now to suspend service from this location. There was no leadership. No sense of urgency. No communication. And most importantly and concerning, there was NO customer service.
Will not be back. This was the final straw for this location. Sorry Five Guys....this one's not doing their part to protect your image. Not in any...
Read moreInside restaurant for 1st time visitors can be confusing. It's a very small space inside. You have to work your way around large boxes of peanuts to get up to counter. Food lists are large but several handwritten specials hard to read. Counter people are not friendly, do not like to wait while you read over the list to be able to choose what you'd like to eat or what you'd like on your choice. Then plan to wait 15 to 20 minutes before you get your order. Which regardless of whether you're eating there or to go, food comes in a bag. Now there are some tables but no where near enough that someone eating alone can sit down. Most tables that were empty desperately needed to be cleaned. So had to use 4 napkins to spread over area I was sitting at to sit and remove bagged food so I could place the food onto table.
My bacon cheeseburger was small for the price. Bacon was overcooked. Burger itself not to bad but nothing to write home about. Fries were warm not hot so had been sitting in bag before burger finally added. To get drink filled and refilled you must push your way through all the customers waiting for food. Hard on customers that are handicapped like I am.
I still probably gave more stars than they deserved. I know I won't be going back. Too many other good restaurants around that are more friendly, set up for handicapped customers ease, and much less wait for food that is above par instead of below par such as...
