I called this location and the phone rang rang and rang, I called a total of 5 times over a 15min time period in order to place an order. On the 5th call someone picked up the phone and just set it in something so it wouldn’t ring anymore. I could hear them talking so I know that is what was done. So I drove to the place to ask why someone would do that. When I got there, not a single customer in the store and 4 employees on the line. Spoke to some younger kid and asked for a manager and he said that assistant manager Rob was available so I spoke with him and explained and even called the store number again and still a busy signal. Rob said “I’m going to chalk it up as a mistake someone did and I’ll go HANG THE PHONE, I mean check to see if it’s off the hook.” What type of business places there phone so customers aren’t able to place orders. News flash Rob that phone ringing is what pays you and the other 3 employees salaries. Do yourself a favor and avoid this business who clearly doesn’t want business. There is a store right off of 31 in Lake in the hills about 8mins away and one off of 31 in Mchenry not far away either. Both of these locations answered their phones. Took my business to the lake in the hills location. Also when the owner reads this and responds with “thank you for the stars” response as they have on the other negative reviews I will be contacting corporate to address this issue at hand. I’m capable of driving but what if someone is handy cap and unable to drive and they wanted to call in an order to feed their family and you and your selfish crew placed the phone...
Read moreThank you for people on your staff that are food allergy aware and sensitive to their needs! It was a very busy lunch time and a line to the door, but the staff was quick and efficient taking and making orders. As I watched a gentleman make the sandwiches before mine, someone special requested green peppers. It was on my mind to ask him to change gloves before he started putting toppings on my order. As he finished the order in front of me, another gentleman stepped in to do mine and had put on fresh gloves. He did grab, wrap up, and bag the order in front of mine, and they had also asked for extra, extra mayo. I also have a raw egg allergen. He asked if I wanted mayo and I told him no, I had an egg allergen. He immediately changed gloves and explained he touched the other sandwiches. He then mentioned his sister has a similar allergy. When he finished topping the sandwich, he asked if it was ok if the cutting knife was wiped off, or if I wanted him to skip cutting it. I let I'm know wiping the knife with the clean towel he got was sufficient. I appreciate this soooo much. I've had staff at airport Jersey Mike's locations look at me like I'm crazy. And I've had chefs at 5 star restaurants come out and tell me if I have allergies I shouldn't go out to eat. So thank you Jersey Mike's of...
Read moreTruly disappointing. Got a hot and a cold sandwich. Both were LIGHT. As in the sandwiches felt literally half as heavy as something you get from JimmyJohn's but at the same price. The hot sandwich had barely a quarter inch thick layer of meat, not much flavor either. It tasted like some crap I could have made at home for $2. Seriously. I've made better Reubens for that much. Bigger too.... The other sandwich, while it had killer bacon on it, was bland despite having two meats on it and cheeses. Both were insubstantial to say the least. They felt pliable and soft and thin, and again, I have to emphasize, they had little flavor and little volume of ingredients. I'm stuffed after one JimmyJohn's sub but I ate both of these in one sitting because they felt like thin waggy/soggy air pillows. Really wanted this to work out since their menu looks promising but nope. Didn't work out. I won't ever be back. Quizno's and Subway used to be decent and sank to this level in the late 00's. This place is relatively new in the game from what I know....
